Wow, UAB was up by 10 at the half, lost the lead in the 2nd half, got it back and won 82-70.
Talk about streaky. But a win is a win at this point.

Rice was outmanned, but they play really hard, they know how to defend passing lanes, and they don't miss free throws (except #12). They will beat someone they shouldn't.

Good win for MT. Didn't expect it to be such a blowout after that first half... Geez we have our struggles.

Very proud of our team. I expect to be in the Big Dance in two more years.

Then we're just going to have to be a multibid conference, because I expect us to be, too. 04-cheers

Apparently, they couldn't miss a three pointer and shot 100 of them. I know the math doesn't work, but just think of it as hyperbole for effect.

Actually we only shot 15 3s, and hit 10. Marshall was 12/26.

that's 66%, or twice the normal average of a basketball team. We still shot well, but below 50% and we rely on the trey.

No problem with that.

Rice is going to be pretty good with some depth. It appeared they had to play slightly hesitant defense at times to try and stay out of foul trouble.

Six of those fouls, and 9 of the 14 points came in the last two minutes of the game as Marshall tried to close the gap.

That's why I think year after next we will be very good. We have four freshmen now as major contributors, and another couple of good recruiting classes should put us in the mix. Need a big man.

Yep Charlotte led most of the game and at one point was up 19. It was a convincing win.

Just looking over the box scores from the league and Freeman had another 28. CUSA player of the year so far.

He has scored more points than every ODU starter combined in conference games so far.

Yep - and he gets his no matter what the defense throws at us. It's really quite a sight to see...I am not sure how he does it.

Unfortunately, we have not much to offer beyond his production. Thus the abysmal performances this year.

He get his points because he takes more shots than the rest of the team combined. He had 28 points against UAB but shot the ball like 29 times. Haha Lee had the same amount of points against ODU but only had like 16 shots in the same game. He's a good player, but anyone who shoots that much should score a lot.

25, 18, 29, 18, 21. Those are the amount of shots he's taken in the past 5 games. Not that hard to score in the 20s with that many attempts, plus the fouls he gets as well.
