UCF sweep Bulls for first time in Hoops as Knights win in Tampa, 64-54
Enjoyable road win for the Knights tonight as they complete the series sweep for first time ever (teams normally didn't play 2 games a year very often in non-conf play).

UCF is now 3-1 in games played at USF's renovated Sun Dome.

See link for a few highlights, post-game interview's and recap from tonight's game.

Sweeping USF
UCF's bench tallied 34 points, leading the Knights to a 64-54 win over USF for the season series sweep.

This is awesome, I was wondering if UCF was actually good at basketball after seeing this score and the conference record. Then I looked it up and saw that UCF has played and beaten absolutely no freaking one out of conference or in conference. But I guess after the complete national sh!t show embarrassment you all put out there in football you need something to pump yourselves up. Nice job! 03-lmfao

UCF is 4-1 in conference.

The four wins have come in the form of two sweeps over ECU and South Florida. Those two teams are a combined 0-13 in conference play. Our lone conference loss came against SMU, who is currently 7-0 in league play.

Only time will tell how we will do against the middle-of-the-pack (.500) AAC teams like Houston and Cincy. Until then, I'm kinda enjoying the smoke and mirrors.

Thanks I guess.

Last year, UCF went a combined 1-4 vs ECU and USF.

This year, UCF went 4-0 in 2 sweeps vs those same two teams.

Improvement is ok and its ok to enjoy it.

Yep... progress is worth something and it has to start somewhere. UCF may be getting a decent seed for the tourney they host.

While this tournament should be wide open without SMU in it...with just 10 teams, the first 6 seeds get a bye on day 1...so yes, it would be nice if UCF could somehow finish in the Top 6 for that first round bye.

Don't see any team winning 4 games in 4 days this season (#7 - #10 seeds)

Here's the AAC Tourn Schedule for 2016: March 10-13th at Amway Center

With ECU, USF, and Tulane in the tournament, we only need to finish ahead of one of Tulsa, Cincy, Houston, UConn, Memphis, or Temple. I think it's doable.

He made a good adjustment at the end of the usf game when McBride fouled out. Instead of putting in Fall or Blair, he went with a small lineup to stretch the floor with Shaheed Davis. It was a good move as usf wasn't able to matchup outside.

I don't get the Donnie hate. Last year we couldn't make adjustments. Our teams was a bunch of freshman literally playing near 40 mins every night. Only played with 7-8 most nights. We couldn't press because we didn't have the bench. This is the first season back to being able to rotate players. Considering we are without our starting PG we are doing "ok". We now have a few players that can create shots. Next season pretty much everyone is back and BJ should be healthy.

We need athletes and Donnie does seem to recruit well. Need to ride the Donnie train to see how he pans out with an experienced roster next year. Donnie played it right getting AJ Davis even though we needed an extra body last year. He seems to be building us back.

I also sent my letter to White about my opinion from a booster. Support of Donnie. I'd be shocked if he is fired.

I'm really shocked at how bad our Basketball is right now... I have not lost faith in coach O just yet, but he better start righting the ship to some degree next year...

I'm not shocked I told everyone early in the season that this was the worst basketball team ever at USF and that's saying a lot because we have had plenty of crappy teams in past. O will have to have a .500 or better season next year or he is gone, he is getting a pass this year because half the team is sitting out the season.

I love how KL tries to make every one his posts like he's writing an article for a sports website. It's fun to watch kids practicing their dreams right in front of you.
