WEST
Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Neb, Wisc, Minn, Iowa.
EAST
PSU, OSU, MSU, Mich,
Indy, Pur, ILL, NW
I don't think that the west has any leverage. The east will drive the decisions, and I think that it has been driving the decisions.
Any leverage to do what?
Every school gets a vote. Every school gets to be heard. That's what a conference is.
Leave - either by forming its own conference or joining another.

It's called a vote....the West has as many of them as the East. The West isn't made up of idiots though. They saw the value of moving East. Hell, even Iowa has been hitting the recruiting trail in places like Maryland and New Jersey.
Those two additions doesn't prove that The East controlled expansion. It just proves that The West aren't idiots.

UCLA doesn't belong in that group, they only have one National Championship!

No B1G team is any realistic threat to leave the conference. This is known.

Nebraska - Oklahoma schedule more games
So if Colorado and Nebraska play each other in the Rose Bowl, would Big 8 officials call the game?

"Jim [Delany] felt that someday, if we didn’t have anyone else in that corridor, someday it wouldn't make sense maybe for Penn State to be in our league. That they would go into a league somewhere on the east coast. By doing that, it keeps us in the northeast corridor."

Well that's nonsense, now at least. Where would they go? ACC with Pitt, Syracuse and BC?? That would never fly.

Now its nonsense because they're playing 2 of the other 6 large northeastern/mid-Atlantic state schools every year. (UMD, Rutgers, WVU, Pitt, UConn, Temple) And they play Temple pretty often in a 2 for 1 setup OOC too. They're going to play Pitt 4 times in a row with the potential for something more regular. I doubt they'll play every year, but wouldn't shock me if we saw something like 6 out of 10 years, which is way better than the zilch they were playing. They have a series with WVU and they've scheduled Syracuse some recently. Basically, the new setup Penn State has keeps them satisfied and then some indefinitely.
On to the original topic, I'm happy to see Nebraska and Oklahoma are going to 4 games from 2 games. Hopefully, we'll see them increase that further. I like to see the old, traditional and REAL rivalries played as often as possible. Conference realignment has really messed with that aspect of things and I think it has already started to hurt the product.

It's one of the rivalries that should be played yearly along with:
Kansas-Missouri
Texas-Texas A&M
BYU-Utah
UNC-Wake
Duke-NC State
Virginia-Maryland
Pitt-Penn State
Pitt-WVU
Georgia-Clemson
GT-Auburn
I was a fan of the Nebraska-Colorado game as well.

Nebraska also has a 4 game series scheduled with NIU in 17,19, 21 & 23. Nebraska will be seeing more of NIU & Oklahoma than it's Eastern Division conference mates
