Exclamation Upcoming NFL Draft and your prospects-All Star Bowls Too
I think we need a thread to discuss former players future with the NFL and performances in all star bowls coming, so I will start....

Doughty and Dangerfield both getting ready to play in East-West Shrine game Saturday....Reading high reviews for Dangerfield so far in practice, has really impressed a lot of scouts so far this week...He has the NFL type body, only question with him will be his 40 time and if its good enough to get drafted..If so with a strong performance Saturday he might sneak in the later rounds....I think Dangerfield will for sure be a UDA and would not surprise me if makes it and plays in NFL...His Brother is in the league with the Bills, Jordan Dangerfield...

Doughty, wow is all I can on reading his reviews...His reviews are all over the place, some rave about him and has said he is by far the best QB at East-West games while others are saying scouts are not impressed by him and doubt he gets drafted....I will be really disappointed if Doughty does not get drafted...He may not have the strongest arm in the world, but his anticipation, knowledge of the game, throwing catchable balls are off the chart...I really find it hard to believe he has so many different takes on his abilities....I had for sure though he would be taken in 3rd or 4th round but now I question if he will even get drafted with what I have read..Hopefully he has a strong showing Saturday to quiet down some of this talk....

Higbee is in Senior Bowl next week...Have not heard if he is over his injuries yet from this past season but he is ranked as 4th best TIght End Prospect...If he can stay on the field, wow watch out! Could easily be a guy like Tyler Eifer for the Bengals...BOth similar body types who catch every thing and former WR's converted to TIght ends...ALso with EIfert though, Higbee has to stay on the field...I think Higbee could be WKU's highest selected player in this years NFL Draft..

Another guy who scouts are raving about is our corner Prince Charles-Iworah..HE is a former track guy, so he can fly and scouts are drooling over his speed...Questions remain though if his size will allow him to play in the NFL...I don't think he gets drafted but will certainly land on a roster as UDA...He plays in Collegiate Bowl this weekend....

so there are WKU's prospects, not sure we have any more then this 4 land on an NFL Team this upcoming year...

Devon Johnson is apparently totally healed and kicking butt in St. Pete this week in preparation for the East-West game. We have a couple others that may be lower round draft picks, but "Rockhead" may be middle round selection

I imagine Mike Thomas will be drafted in the mid to late rounds. He's very talented.

Kalan Reed (CB) will get looked at. Rashod Hill (OT) will probably get a look as a FA somewhere but I doubt he'll catch on.

UAB's Jordan Howard, now at Indiana, has declared early for the draft. He was a 1st Team All-BigTen RB.

Hard to say. I think Byard will be mid to late round. Preseason I would have thought Darius Johnson was a sure mid rounder but injuries really slowed him down. TT Barber is great player but because he is a tweener from a size stand point he will likely be a UFA and have to prove his worth on ST. If I am a betting man I would bet he makes a roster for ST. There are always a few suprise UFA's but I don't know that any will make a roster. Maybe Batties or Collis.

Vernon Butler looks like he's working his way into the 1st round. Kenneth Dixon likely a 3rd rounder. I don't know if Jeff Driskel will get drafted, but he might, late. All 3 will be in the Senior Bowl.

I think you might see Dixon move into the second round depending on if there's a run on running backs. I think someone will take a chance and draft Jeff Driskel just based on his transformation in one year with a competent offensive system. Also, the combine and Senior Bowl are gonna make or break all three as far as moving up in selection.

Would be great to see him catching passes from Brees. Here is a draft analysis that has him going in second or third round. I am not sure he will go that high, but he should.

Hopefully they use their early picks on defense instead. Brees missed a game and still led the league in passing yards. They could use an OG..but other than that they need to work on that #31 defense...not the #2 offense.
