Are there enough P5 teams for all of them to do this?

Good for Pitt, they continue to be completely irrelevant so I am sure no one cares.

So Pitt is more elitist than Oklahoma, Notre Dame, psu, FSU, Miami, and Maryland. K.

Akron beat them at Pitt in '14. I guess they were tired of having to travel to take their losses. I mean this wont help that they went 0-2 against G5 teams in bowls the last two years but until they put us in a separate division nothing will.

Pitt believes there is no upside in playing G5 teams on the road...or at home...or a neutral site. When the lose to a G5 team they do not like the long trips back home. And if they beat a G5 team on the road people will just think Pitt got lucky.

A home schedule of North Texas and Troy State will generate a lot of fan excitement and ticket sales.

The question I pose is should the AAC do the same? Should we not schedule home and homes with the G4? A move like that would surely solidify us as more P6 then G5.

Who wants to play Pitt anyway? Dan Marino isn't walking through that door.

I just have to comment again, Pitt decided that they were above going to non contract teams home stadiums? 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

Actually no since some sec schools already buy multiple home games. Just not enough available p5 home games since the upper tier wants at least 7 home games. Who in the AAC will schedule a road only game with them? My guess none. Even sunbelt, mac, and c-Usa will want bigger pay day games over Pitt.

That is what bothers me. They play in a rental stadium, average football, and half empty stadium but they are above someone? Cheers to them since they just bid up the price of buy games.

1. We can't do that.
2. Even if we could and did do that we are still G5. Our tv payout and bowl line up is why we are G5, not because we play other G5 schools. Not playing other G5 schools and 'pretending' to be a power conference will not make it so.

Also...

there is no P6
there is no G4

there is a P5 (we are not in this group)
there is a G5 (this is where the AAC is for fb and bb)

I know you want there to be really bad (along with Big East Homer) but wishful thinking isn't going to make it so. It's time to just accept the AAC lot in life. We are a mid major conference in football (and basketball sadly).
