Discussing the superb 2013 History of the Eagles, Part 1 documentary with Billboard, Frey said:

"You couldn't have asked for a better script for a bunch of guys in their 20s trying to make it into the music business. We were young, we made mistakes, we still make mistakes. It's the story of an American band, but it's also the story of the songs we wrote and what those songs did to [people]. We're here because everybody likes the songs."

I think, I need to listen to an Eagles tune, 04-cheers

RIP

RE: RIP Glenn Frey
I had tickets to see them in Hartford in 1994 when Frey had diverticulitis and the show was canceled. We got to see them in the Pyramid in 2001. I turned down tickets in Little Rock this past July and, now, can't even remember what I was doing more important that weekend.

My favorite band of all time.

Been digging on some Eagles all night. Listened to many an Eagles tune in my Chevy SS and loving youth.

We were at that show at The Pyramid. Saw them again in Dallas in 2003 and several times since then.

The first time I saw them was 75 in The Auditorium. I think that was the first tour with Joe Walsh.

That was truly a superb documentary. Those guys paid their dues and made it to the top.
