Remember the "good old days" just a few years ago when all of our home games were on Comcast Sports Net Chicago, with David Kaplan as our announcer? And, those games were on SATURDAYS. Those were the days! Then ESPN, IMG, and other initials came along and ruined everything.

If you haven't yet, and you live a little further away and can't make every football/basketball game, get ESPN3 set-up on your TV. So easy! I've been watching the bball games through AppleTV and it's just like watching any other game.

Sure good old days for Chicago area residents. For us out of staters ESPN 3 is pretty darn nice. I do agree that we often get the "C" team announcers though.

Edited to say that Saturday games are better for attendance so it is a complex equation.

ISU game aired TWICE on Comcast yesterday. Live in the afternoon and replay at 10ish.

Comcast does nothing when it comes to spreading the brand nationally, it's just convenient for area alums.

And NIU also had to pay them to broadcast the games. Don't need to pay ESPN3.
