On paper the Tigs are as good or better at every position. Just gotta stay healthy and hope the pitching is strong.

I care a lot more about OPS than batting average. He gets on base (career .352 OBP) and hits for power (Averages 26 HRs over 162 games). For the record, he is also a career .271 hitter, and was unlucky last year on balls in play. Plus, he is 28 years old. Just coming into his prime.

How well do players from the National League transition to the American League?
When I was growing up, it didn't happen often. I'm out of the loop with baseball now though.

From what I have read, their walk rate goes down a little, their strikeout rate and fly ball rate both go up a little.
