I put credence in the actual number ranking combined with the type of offers a kid is getting. A high three star is getting P5 and a low is getting FCS with FBS. Once you get to mid level three star or higher kids they are getting solid evals from the services, by multiple FBS coaching staffs and typically P5 offers. We just had Clemson steal a three star OL.

You are crazy if you think App is a large enough sample size to make any conclusions on recruit rankings. Especially at the low three and two star level. Yes when you have hundreds is not thousands of low three and two star kids some will out play or underplay their rankings. Overall teams that consistently that do better in the national rankings are easily winning over those who consistently come in behind them. We are talking consistently over time not one year.

The teams that have lived in the bottom three or four in the rankings over the last three to four even in our own conference have basically no shot at the conference title. It matters.

We've had this discussion. One of our so called recruiting "experts" got bad info and posted it as real. Apparently Sean Brown has a mother who likes to watch him play a ton, and we just couldn't overcome that.

Mobile is only about an hour shorter drive from Pleasant Grove than it is to Jonesboro (4hr vs. 5hr). I think there may be a bit more, but that was likely the tiebreaker.

I think our class is better than it shows. We got some key pieces. But I think that, Southern got a class that has a ton of playmakers. Really great class

Seth Shuman could be the sleeper of the GS group. Flashes of Scott Frost or if we're lucky Matt Dobson.

Sleeper is Desiline, IMO.

The initial results still shows a little too much separation between the bottom 3-4 schools and the rest of the league, which is where improvement is needed to grow your brand as a conference.
