CaryNCDuke (-1.75%) beats MrSaturdayMorning (-0.97%)

Congratulations CaryNCDuke!

Congrats, Cary! (City where my brother lives ... who volunteers at the Apex Peak City Pig Fest. :-) )

And thanks to niusfactuary for putting on such a fun contest. I loved having the incentive to eat less and exercise more. (Although I love to eat and loathe to exercise.)

:-)

I moved further south so I'm in Holly Springs now. I'll have to get out there this year. Have to just stick to a small amount of pork though.

Thank you all for the competition and drive to get closer to my goal weight. Just another 35 to go.

Congrats to CaryNCDuke and thanks to niusfactuary for managing another fun contest! I had some trouble with plateaus this time around, but I am keeping at it.

Good luck to everyone going forward and hope to see everyone in the next contest!

I'd love to hear some feedback from our competitors on the style of the competition. Was the regular season too long? Thoughts on lowering the number of formats? More frequent weigh-ins? etc....

I wouldn't change the once-weekly weigh-ins. More frequent ones might lead to more zero-difference readings, or ones that are more dependent on small variations in scale response rather than actual weight loss.

The season was long ... but that does motivate us to continue to try to lose weight, which is a good thing.

I don't know what you mean by "lowering the number of formats" ... but I thought the way you set it up the competition and standings (taking into account wins/losses/forfeits/points/% weightloss, etc.) was pretty darned good.

Well done!

Everybody still doing good in the 3 months since our league ended? I think I've lost another 10 pounds since the league ended, and hit the 270s for the first time since college (I'm 32). I have a trip coming up in mid/late September, but I was considering running another league maybe starting in late September, early October. Any interest?

I am going Atkins and the yoga route this time. Carbs and sugar are so hard to rid from your diet.

I can offer tips for folks. Regrettably if we restart this competition, I'm down 50+ ibs.

KetoCaNa is GREAT if you need to get into ketosis without waiting 2-3 sluggish days where you're mentally dull. It's exogenous ketones. Taste like Tang. Puts you instantly into deep ketosis (I'm talking 5 minutes after finishing the drink). You get a brain buzz from it if you're doing low carb but haven't become ketogenic yet.
