How about Steve Masiello? The guy who accepted the USF job but lied on his resume?
Perhaps Brad Underwood is ready to leave the Southland..

Chris Beard (Little Rock)

Currently 15-1 in his first season there with the only lost @Texas Tech. Last season they were 13-18. Guy wins over 75% of his games overall and has proven he can turn around teams known for losing. Also coached under Bob Knight.

If you were to go the retread route, Anthony Grant had success at VCU. Maybe he wants to go back to college.

The best recruiter you can find. Lebo is a good coach but we need players. If he can't find them then find someone who can.

The reason ECU has not been good historically is not bc our coaches couldn't coach. It's because we have never been able to recruit enough good players.

Find a recruiter, a salesman. If you get some players the winning will come.

UCF looks like its in Daytona Beach on that map; Temple looks like its in Trenton or Princeton and ECU looks like its near Hampton/Norfolk, Virginia not to mention UConn looking like its where UMass is supposed to be.

But then again, I see some of that was due to spacing.

Anyone from the Billy Donovan tree for that matter. Grant would be great.

I like Moton from NCCU.

If it were me I would take a long hard look at Jeff Capel the Associate Head Coach at Duke.

Fairly young at 40.
Head coaching experience, 4 years at VCU and 5 at Oklahoma.
Made the NIT and NCAA at VCU and made NCAA round of 32 and elite 8 at Oklahoma.
Been on the Duke staff since 2011.

You may not keep him forever, but he would have a lot of motivation to come in and turn your program around quickly if he wants to use it as a stepping stone and a quick turnaround is what ECU needs right now. His Duke ties and success at VCU and Oklahoma would bring a lot of credibility while recruiting.

That's on point.

I wondered when they hired Scottie Mo, why they were hiring a Duke Football assistant instead of Hoops, which is Duke's bread and butter.

Capel should be near the top of their list. Hopefully, they can send Scottie Mo out there to do some recruiting.

1) Rebuilding year in year 7. Can't have that

2) multiple D2s a year

3) Best Seasons came in the worst conference in America

4) In his 7 years he has only beaten one top 100 rpi team. I'll let you figure out his record against teams with winning records.

Lol...it's NCCU dude. Given what is available he is a good coach.

With Tulsa and Houston success so far with their new coaches is time for ECU to step up and make a splash.
1. Archie Miller
2. Bryce Drew

Those are not realistic candidates, especially Miller.
