I'm coming close to just checking out. Didn't even DVR today. The return on investment in terms of money, time and enjoying this stuff is starting to feel like a scratch off lottery ticket.

Tired of having my weekends ruined by cruddy play on the court and on the field...even more tired of paying to have my weekends ruined. This stuff is supposed to be fun. It's not this past year.

I can't believe this is where I am also. I've completely missed two games this year. That has never happened to me. If I get good seats to a game, have several beverages, and the cats produce another pathetic stinker, and I'm within Ear shot of Mick I may embarrass myself in a irrevocable manner.

UC makes it hard to be a Bearcat fan sometimes. This year especially.

The best part of this sports season was getting to meet rath, BJ and bearcatmark. Now THAT's depressing!

Can we blame Under Armour? Ever since the switch from Adidas to UA the Cats have been one big disaster. I miss the days of cat scratches, Bearcat eyes and victories and by the way I hated the cat scratches and Bearcat eyes.

Luckily this team is so painful to watch, turning off the TV should be pretty easy. Everytime I try to watch a game with a friend or family member who may just be a casual fan or not really a fan at all, they absolutely can't stand watching. It is easy to see why, Cronin's offense makes people's eyes bleed. No wonder he can't recruit to save his life.

This team is not that much different than what we have had over the last several years. The only difference is they are losing the close games.

We recruit the same kind of guys and run the same stuff year in and year out. Of course it
is going to look similar.

Despite being the same, I've grown weary of it.

As I have previously said, Mick has already hit his maximum cruising altitude....Tubby's engines never fired on the launch pad. The slow slide to just above average continues.

If you don't believe this poster about UC being unwatchable offense perhaps you would believe some past players. I asked a former player last year at our barbers about UC. He said he could not stand to watch them as the offense was so bad and badly coached. His credentials are former IN "Mr. Basketball", 4 year starting guard, etc. Another guard with not as quite as impressive resume said much the same.

They played the game and they know what they see.

This year has been incredibly disappointing so far, but the team's not as far off as everyone is acting. They aren't a bad team. They are certainly one of the 30-40 best teams in the country, but they've yet to put it all together at the same time and they've been atrocious at closing out games against top competition (and Temple). The first 2/3 of the season the offense was way ahead of the defense. The last 1/3 the defense has finally gotten it together and the offense has completely fallen off. It's a long season and the team has been closer than many would admit, but they are running out of chances to get the wins they need.

That Cats now now have to win out at home, take care of business against bottom tier on the road, and split against Houston, Memphis, Tulsa, and UConn on the road. Maybe they can afford one more loss in there and finish 12-6 as long as the Cats beat SMU in the season finale.

I think Mick needs to change his recruiting strategy. Taking great defenders who are offensive projects and building a team of this type of player isn't working. Somebody over on Bearcat Sports Journal wrote this big article on Mick vs Mack (at XU) recruiting philosophies and went on to conclude that Mick's philosophy has been working better...LOL. By what standard?!?!?!

Mick needs to go talk to Mack about how to recruit and then copy him.

Not only does Mick's recruiting philosophy result in offensively anemic teams, it likewise results in basketball that is just flat out BORING and PAINFUL to watch.

Mick: Please change. Your way doesn't work very well.
