he was an elite 11 finalist, he doesnt have great offers because he was a strong solid to rutgers with their old staff for a long time ... when rutgers switched staff and hired our WR coach as OC ..seeing the ward offense being a pro-style he decided it wasnt a good fit
he was only decommitted for a few days and he had interest from lsu already..if he was willing to wait he would have gotten alot of other offers
His main recruiter, EJ Barthel, was director of recruiting for Rutgers under Kyle Flood. Barthel is now at Temple with the expectation he will be coming on full time. This likely played a large part in his commitment as well.
The switch in system had nothing to do with Rutgers moving on from him. Ash and his staff did everything they could think of to try and keep him.
the first person our wr coach followed when he joined the staff and was fallowed by every member of the rutgers staff was QB jarrett guarantano ..
im sure the rutgers staff didnt want to "lose" him, he is still a highly touted qb
my honest opinion is they didnt show him crazy love and he didnt feel like he fit anymore so he decommited
note they will be running the offense we ran this year...and russo has a ton of strengths, mobility isnt one of them...and the xfactor in our offense is qb mobility..and though you dont need a dual threat qb to make it work..russo ran a 5 flat on his 40 yard dash...im sure he watched one of our games and decided "yeah this probably isnt me"
What? Are you trying to make the point that if Houston wanted him they'd have him lol

Temple is the only team in the conference I actually want to do well. Your coach is a great guy and is there to turn the program around. I'm sure he could have bolted to Mizzou or wherever for more money.

how did you end up at that conclusion???
i said rutgers new OC was our WR coach a month ago, and that rutgers will be running the offense we ran this season...that russo likely decommitted because he doesnt fit into that style of offense (which has a lot of qb run)
not sure how you twisted that into " if Houston wanted him they'd have him".... please explain yourself

I misread your comment, my bad. Is there any truth that Houston is interested in him though I thought I saw that posted somewhere

Despite a visit by Les Miles of LSU, Russo opted to stay local and give the Owls their highest rated QB commit since Steve Joachim in the 70's.
I was wondering why I couldn't find him on 247 site, then realized that you spelled his last name as Rizzo in your first sentence. Your second sentence spelling of Russo was correct. Hopefully he works out.
I do remember a Philly mayor (and police chief) by the name of Rizzo many years ago.
Anthony Rizzo plays for the Cubs
Yep, that's what I found out in my search.

no, you likely read that former houston coach (new rutgers OC) was after him...
houston is stacked at qb for quite some time..we have 3 qbs committed
a high 3 star with clemson, texas and ohio state offers, ( http://espn.go.com/college-sports/footba...wman-sells)
we flipped a 4star tcu commit who has like 25 offers (from schools like ucla, baylor etc) ( http://espn.go.com/college-sports/footba...deriq-king ) ..
and last week former 5star 1 QB recruit kyle allen decided he was transferring to houston ( http://247sports.com/Player/Kyle-Allen-1...tion=31707)
we also have a 4star 2017 qb committed (i think he decommits thou) ( http://247sports.com/player/jaylon-mascorro-80289 )
hanging on to all of them till signing day will already be extremely difficult as is, our coaches wouldnt risk that perusing another qb and jeopardizing that...if anything im surprised Rutgers hasnt targeted any of them yet

Great QB addition for Temple and the AAC. LSU was looking at him [/i] recently.

the Rutgers staff did everything they could to hold onto him which included heavily recruiting a ton of qbs he became friends with at the elite 11 while he was still committed
even if he had stayed they would have likely gotten a second DT QB to come in aswell
again no one said anything to the nature that rutgers pushed him out...or didn't want him to stay..he is still a highly touted qb even if he didn't fit the system ..im 100% certain they tried to keep him
but i kid you not less than 7 hours of his decommitment 4 DT qbs "publicly" announced offers ..im sure no prior relationships were made prior to committing and no scouting was done
Your are certainly entitled to give your honest opinion but it will be blinded by temple shades as always.
