Hard to go wrong picking the Owls.

Bold Prediction: Rice ends the 21 year streak by not capturing the regular or tournament title.

21 years is pretty amazing. Pitching is key in C-USA and they do have the preseason pitcher of the year.

And he's probably our 3rd best pitcher behind Jon Duplantier and Glenn Otto.

"unheralded" would be my choice....
unfortunately, college baseball is in the same category with most of the 'viewershite'....
I choose to pay homage to a streak like that....

this is what I do love about our coach....teaching life lessons this is.....

Quote: HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -
The University of Southern Mississippi Baseball team visited with student's at the DuBard School for Language Disorders Wednesday.
Head Coach Scott Berry said the visit is a tradition he looks forward to every year.
"I believe in the DuBard School and their mission and what they're doing for a lot of people," Berry said. "It's a really, really special place. Each day, you drive by the DuBard School. You see the kids that are out there playing, and it's like I told the young students in there, 'you're like our little brothers and sisters, you know? You're on the campus with us.' It's neat to watch them progress and start off in young life and move forward, and we feel like we're right there with them."

Here's D1Baseball's CUSA preview, with Rice picked to win the championship, Big Jon Duplantier selected as POY and Dominic DiCaprio selected as Freshman of the Year.

I'm a bit surprised Kendall picked USM to finish ahead of FAU, but Kendall has always given Berry the benefit of the doubt.

He has given Berry a lot of credit, but not sure if it's warranted. If USM isn't in a regional this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see a change.

Agreed, but I feel like we find ourselves saying this every year.

The end of year streak saved him last year.
