AAC Baseball Broadcasts
http://theamerican.org/news/2016/1/14/BA...h=baseball

6 possibly 7 games will be broadcasted by CBS Sports.

ECU vs NCSU
UH vs USF
Tulane vs LSU
UH vs Tulane
UH vs Tulane
American Championship Game 1
American Championship Game 2 if necessary

In addition 3 games will be broadcasted on the American Digital Network free of charge.

ECU vs UH
Tulane vs ECU
UH vs Memphis

Hopefully more games will be added later on, especially to the Digital Network

There are probably some away games for teams being broadcasted as part of another conferences contract

iTop two baseball programs in the AAC are Houston ranked 18 and Tulane ranked 19 preseason by Collegiate Baseball. Looking forward to the Houston Tulane match up. A great baseball rivalry between these two fine schools on TV/cable. Hopefully if successful we can get CBS Sports to add another ten games next year. Expect ECU to shortly get their program back in the Top 20.

The top 2 right now are ECU and Houston until proven otherwise. Those are your two defending champions.

RE: AAC Baseball Broadcasts
Our digital network is a joke. The quality is fine, buts it's underutilized to the point of being nearly worthless. Virtually every AAC school produces a game stream of baseball games. Zero reason that's not being utilized to provide better coverage of a sport in which the AAC is very strong. Wouldn't hurt recruiting either. There is no reason for not having a huge number of baseball games on the network. Instead, it just sits there basically dormant with the exception of a few championship games and a recrring 30 minute weekly update show.

With Tulane alums all over the country there are a decent amount of fans/alums who pay for all access and they don't want to lose that small amount of revenue apparantly. Plus if it was all free someone would have to pay all access to do the broadcast.

You don't have to. Would they all leave the Tulane steaming app if only 3 or 4 home Tulane home games were available on the AAC Digital Network. Because that's all it would take. 4 games x 11 members is 44. I could see 44 baseball games on the network as being reasonable coverage for baseball and I can't imagine that's going to affect the sales of individual schools stream sales in any significant manner. In fact, it might raise interest enough people that sales go up on the individual school sites (I doubt there is any significant income being made there anyway).

I find it odd we do 20 or more womens basketball games on the AAC digital network and just 3 baseball games. Its just a sad utilization of something that could be a major conference asset.

I believe CBS Sports will be increasing AAC baseball coverage from 10 to 25 games next year because of interest in the great baseball programs that we have such as Houston,ECU and Tulane if Aresco works with them to get done.

The AAC has great baseball. I hope Aresco can increase the games on CBS Sports from ten this year to twenty five next year.
