Jerry Jones has screwed up the Cowboys for so many years now that I wouldn't mind SA getting the Raiders. He's still screwing around with QB's.......why doesn't he just draft a top QB? Fans have been waiting 15+ years.

So yea, the San Antonio Raiders has a ring to it.

One of my biggest flaws in life is being a Cowboys fan. That can all change if Davis will be a big boy and do the right thing.

Geezus my football fate is in the hands of Al Davis' offspring!

Any concrete knowledge as to where this parcel of land is? Halfway between San Antonio and Austin is basically New Braunfels or San Marcos. It seems rather strange to be calling either San Antonio. Maybe the Hill Country Raiders?

The big secret is that it is probably not Jerry Jones that San Antonio has to look out for. Its the Houston owner Bob McNair. IF San Antonio was to get the Raiders.. South Texas would tilt to them and the Cowboys..

Plenty of sports teams have arenas, stadiums, ball parks in nearby cities.

80 miles though? I need to check on mapquest on some of the actual distances, but are there any professional stadiums that far from its actual listed hometown?

London? It's not that big a deal. You have to move them to the AFC East and the Dolphins to the South. The trips to and from Buffalo, New York, New England won't be bad. That's half of the schedule.
And what time of day do you play those games? It's a heck of a lot of trouble to go through for something that in Europe is a novelty.

center to center, San Marcos to San Antonio is 50 miles
SA City limits to San Marcos is 33/4
New Braunfels c to c is 33
SA city limits to NB is 16

SA traffic is atrocious. The others lie on an Interstate. They aren't going to build anything down town. There's just no room. At best it would be north part of the city inside the outer loop or near/around Schertz.

I think the Houston Chronicle had an article earlier this week that said Jerry Jones was dead set against another NFL team in Texas, and thought he had enough owners in line to keep it from happening.

Jerry blocked Davis' move to LA and proposed the approved Rams plan. I find it difficult for the NFL owners to let Davis hang in the wind and not allow him the possibility of moving to San Antonio.

Oakland is a money pit. Raiders will move its only a matter of time and to where.

Funny thing was Davis threatened to move to St. Louis if the Rams moved and he didn't get permission to get out of Oakland to LA.

They're already playing 3-4 games a year there. It's going to happen.

Sunday afternoon (ET) games are 6pm and 9pm in London. Works for fans on both sides of the pond.

New Braunfels is to San Antonio as Katy is to Houston. The area being discussed is the undeveloped land between NB and San Marcos which is not much of a drive from San Antonio.

London is not a matter of IF, but rather a matter of when. I wouldn't bet against an entire division in the UK/Western Europe in the relative short term(~20 years).

Berlin, Munich, Oslo, Amsterdam, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, and Rome are all cities that are just 1 hour ahead of London(I suppose Dublin likely to be considered as well). If we're talking ~20 years down the road and there's been a team in London for a decade or more and we've seen two decades of advances in transatlantic travel and live international streaming, I think it's more likely than not that they could find three more European cities that want to get in on American football for real this time. Hell by that time they could put a 2nd team in London only needing two more cities.
