Conf USA TV Revenue to Decline
Conf USA recieved more than $14M a year or about $1.17M per team per year in TV revenue. It appears, with the new contract being negotiated, that will be slashed by $500,000 per school. Old Dominian spent $41M on athletics in 2013-14 which surprisingly is the largest budget in the conf. La. Tech $19.3 and So. Miss. $23.5. SEC schools recieved $34M per school from TV which comes from NCAA bball tourney, and football playoff and other TV.

RE: Conf USA TV Revenue to Decline
Yet just three to four years ago people on here were talking about leaving the MAC for CUSA before all the NIU to AAC talk. That conference has lost all its best members and is basically the Sun Belt + 1-AA callups.

RE: Conf USA TV Revenue to Decline
Marshall isn't feeling so hot leaving the MAC for CUSA, in present times. In the early 00s, it was an OK move. A step up, but not a big one. Problem is, the best talent gets ciphened off into Big East/AAC, because that best talent gets ciphened off to ACC.
The MAC should motion for Marshall to come back with UMass leaving -- and give some spark to the MAC East as that part grows.

There is as much chance of Marshall coming back to the MAC as there is is NIU going to the AAC.
