My office is in downtown Munford. 2 TV van crews parked outside what appears to be the tobacco store that sold the ticket. Pretty cool.

True. Just NOT a Josh Pastner fan, though. Ha

RE: Powerball jackpot winner sold in Munford
For one hour this morning I had crazy high hopes. I left home without checking my tickets, get a call from my brother asking if I bought tickets. I say yes, he says winner is in Tipton County. So I had to wait for my kid to get home and check my tickets...NOPE. Oh man, so close yet so far...

The rumor that the Powerball winner lives in Cordova now appears to be false.

Being that it was a local grocery store, it does seem that the chances are more likely that it was a local who bought it.

I just know my cousin's husband wouldn't know I had a $325 million lottery ticket until I has gotten the money and they don't know how to get in touch with me until I choose to contact them.

I was told you shouldn't tell anyone until you have met with a tax lawyer, not an accountant.

I also heard that if you win, you should call about 25 family members or border line friends and ask THEM if you can borrow $1,000. Of course they will say no.

The above info was from my brother's experience after he received a huge settlement from the railroad about 15 years ago.

So once it does become evident that you won, no one will have the nerve to ask you for money.

Personally, I would pay good money to be sure I remained anonymous.

If I was the person who bought the ticket in Munford, I wouldn't tell anyone and I was carve out the money I'm giving to family and friends. I'd give money to the uncles and aunts to take care of cousins and make them sign non-disclosure agreements to be able to get the money. And then they are cut off.

I wouldn't tell anyone until I had met with lawyers and accountants, banked the money, and was safely on an extended vacation to an island where no one could ring me up. And then, I would meditate on what I would do next.

These mothersuckers all on the Today Show flashing their winning ticket's serial number.

This money thing probably won't end well.

A Munford couple says they have the winning Powerball ticket.

John and Lisa Robinson told NBC their ticket is the winner.

RE: Powerball jackpot winner sold in Munford
I think you almost have to leave the country, or at least move to a completely different metro area. The last thing you want is to be constantly running into people that know you have lottery money and want some of it. I sure as hell wouldn't stay in Munford. Nothing against Munford, but I can't imagine a worse place for a lottery winner to live than small town America.
