Free throws
If Tarrant could not have continued, who would you have chosen to shoot the fts?

RE: Free throws
I was under impression that temple would of been able to choose who to shoot the fts if he couldn't return. Probably wrong though, I would of chosen Lawson.

You are correct. Opposing teams coach chooses the shooter from the other 4 players on the court at the time of the foul.

It's nothing short of amazing how Shaq has turned his FT shooting around from last season. Way to go Shaq.

If we would have shot this well against UT Arlington and Oklahoma we would have two more wins.

I'd have picked Spalding as the replacement. Or noonan.

RE: Free throws
Ya'll remember back when we were absolutely horrible at the free throw line and everyone always said free throws win games? I'd take another poor free throw shooting team right now to win like we used to. But, Shaq deserves the most improved award this year for that aspect of his game. Who would have ever thought he'd be 30-33 or whatever it is in one stretch?

It could be an anomaly, and he could miss his next 25 in a row, but RIGHT NOW it's him and Tarrant I want at that line. And I NEVER thought I'd say that!

He obviously worked on FTs in the off season. He realized how many points he was leaving on the floor. It makes them a much better team.

RE: Free throws
Of course, Shaq and Tarrant both missed free throws in the final 30 seconds. If they make both we are up 4.

Tigers are now shooting 72.8% from the line. The only other time that I can find after going back 15 years that we shot over 70% was back in 2011-12 when we shot 71.7%.

But there's no way we shot as many free throws per game that season. We are ALWAYS at the line.

It's about percentages. We made 563-785 in 2011-12. We have made 361 of 496 in less that half of the season.

Only 1 of the final four teams is on that list. Surprising since Finch was such a good shooter

Looks like all of Perry's teams are on that list. Scored 562 points on FTs alone as a guard.
