RE: AAC Hoop TV Schedule for Sat/Sun
USF is a scrappy little team, can't fault them for lack of hustle (At least so far in conference, not sure what they looked like before). They have more talent then their record indicates. Bold, but not so bold prediction, they steal a win or two against some of the better conference teams by being the more physical team. They really did almost pull the upset, just a reminder that in conference play, you can't take anyone lightly.
The Memphis-UCONN game was good as well. Between that and the SMU-Cincy game earlier in the week, it looks like no one runs away with conference. Should be a lot of splits between the upper half of the league with the eventual champion only winning 14 games.
I think Tulsa is this years "bridge" team, in that they bridge the upper and lower halves of the conference. All in all, while this may look like a down year for the conference, seeing as how some of the better teams are under performing just a tad, I think its an improvement from the last 2 years in which it too top heavy.

Not really. They were never within two scores until about 8 seconds to go. They had a chance to go to overtime if they threw in a prayer.

At what point is UCF going to be allowed to play defense? Any act of blocking is called a foul automatically. 3 of them alone have been all ball.

Yeah, even the USA TODAY description of this photo said it was a blocked shot by Tacko on Brown but ref blew the whistle for a foul, and this was Tacko's 2nd foul which sent him to the bench just 4 mins into yesterday's game.

Tacko played 12 minutes and ended the game with 2 fouls. He didn't ride the pine because of foul trouble.

Ah...believe we were talking about the 1st half (i.e. when he was called for 2 fouls in first 4 mins of the game...which did send him to the bench for the rest of the half).
Many coaches, like Coach Jones, will pull any starter that picks up 2 quick fouls in the first half (or anytime they pick up 2 fouls in 1st half) and will generally hold them out till the 2nd half.

Really bad call...announcers said the same thing.

Not disputing that call, just pointing out that your coach chose to keep him out of most of the game and it wasn't because of foul trouble.

Because Mcbride was really playing well on offense. We have issues playing uptempo games with Tacko and Mcbride.
Tacko is going to be good, he just really raw now.

I thought Tacko was hype but a year or two under his belt he will be good. Smart player, needs to work on defense and protecting the ball. We picked his pocket too easily.
And that was a bad foul. I think the ref couldn't really get a good angle because the kid is huge. Always have to cheer for physics nerds.

I thought Frank Haith was clean as clean could be based on what Tulsa fans say
@jeffborzello
Major NCAA violations announced by Missouri, and the Tigers' entire 2013-14 season -- when Frank Haith was the coach -- will be vacated.
