How can ECU afford to keep him? Basketball is a revenue sport. Lebo can't be helping to generate that much. A good young hungry coach would probably be cheaper and would probably generate more excitement and revenue for the program.

Because hiring a new coach isn't going to increase revenue all that much unless we start having sustained winning at a level we have never reached for several seasons. We can "afford" to keep him because ticket sales overall will remain relatively stable we have averaged roughly the same in attendance for years now. You are also talking about 5 full years of buyout plus having to sign a new coach to a 5 year deal, that's a huge amount of money. I desperately want him to be fired, but I just don't think we can make the numbers work.

A good young coach could generate enthusiasm which could mean ticket sales and merchandising. Lebo doesn't generate any enthusiasm. Lebo has been coach for 6 years and I don't know anyone that thinks that he is going to get any better. So it makes more sense to cut loses and hope that a new coach can make ECU competitive.

ECU should hire the guy USF fired. The liar.
