We absolutely need to he's a joke of a coach, but we have to have enough money to buy him out and afford to spend at least as much if not more on a replacement.

Buyout is still around 200k. Manageable, but that wasn't the issue. We already were in the red this year due to football ticket sales being below expected. Add the press box, and the Pirate Club is going to have to get creative for once

Yeah my plate was good.

I enjoyed spaghetti. Which is what Dingle's head is filled with. What a foul.

Can't fool you. You figured me out. I was not trying to be cryptic, but you cracked the code anyway. Yes, for me it was a tough loss to swallow. Winnable game that should have cemented a new identity for Temple to finish out the season. Now it's just a reminder that we just don't have it. Now I have to get back to my fat plate of reality. Enjoy your filet. Congrats. Well earned win by your boys.

I took that as he's actually sad they can't play because they are really good.

Sorry to kill your narrative.

Exactly. SMU legit has a chance to go unbeaten (not saying they will) but can't play in the tourney. It's a shame really.

In light of what happened to Ruff; Lebo is toast and his teams look worse than ever despite having a fair amount of talent on this roster.

It we can afford to do it, which is questionable.

How can ECU afford to keep him? Basketball is a revenue sport. Lebo can't be helping to generate that much. A good young hungry coach would probably be cheaper and would probably generate more excitement and revenue for the program.

Because hiring a new coach isn't going to increase revenue all that much unless we start having sustained winning at a level we have never reached for several seasons. We can "afford" to keep him because ticket sales overall will remain relatively stable we have averaged roughly the same in attendance for years now. You are also talking about 5 full years of buyout plus having to sign a new coach to a 5 year deal, that's a huge amount of money. I desperately want him to be fired, but I just don't think we can make the numbers work.

A good young coach could generate enthusiasm which could mean ticket sales and merchandising. Lebo doesn't generate any enthusiasm. Lebo has been coach for 6 years and I don't know anyone that thinks that he is going to get any better. So it makes more sense to cut loses and hope that a new coach can make ECU competitive.
