BG Game
If EMU hopes to get a first round bye in the conference tournament then they must win games that they should win, especially those games that are at home.

There's no reason for there not to be over 2500 people at this game. The team is doing well. The students are back. It's Saturday afternoon. And the NFL playoffs start afterwards. Are they doing anything to promote this game amongst the students? Will the pep band be there?

RE: BG Game
Actually EMU is promoting the hell out of it. It is a Saturday afternoon game and that should help attendance.

Fac/Staff can attend with some free tickets as part of 'appreciation day.'

I believe Heather has, again this year, encouraged our student athletes to come out and support other student athletes. (we saw a lot of them Tuesday night).

I believe 2,500 is too high but a crowd of say 1,500 - 1,750 could be possible.

I'm waiting for JT4 to become a 'cult hero' on campus and for folks to come out to watch him, if not for the team.

EMU really needs to promote JT4. He is a marquee player in the making...

That said, the crowd to watch this year is Feb 20 vs. Toledo. It could be the best conference attendance mark in many years. Toledo will bring a LOT of fans, again, this year. Having the Boothe/JT4 matchup, that will bring if no one else, the NBA scouts.

That would be a good game for someone willing to buy $3 GA group tickets to get with EMU athletic marketing and donate them so they can be given to a school, boys club, etc.

JAN 23 should be a good crowd also with BSU (men) and Toledo WOMEN. Toledo supports their women very well. They travel. Their men play the 'mighty Huskies' Friday nite in DeKalb so that won't interfere with their fans driving north from NW Ohio.

Think I've posted this (yes?)...

JT4 is second among frosh to Ben Simmons at LSU this year for rebounding average.

He is among the frosh rebound leaders for the last TWO DECADES... (top 10)

https://twitter.com/collegebb_ref/status...4228984832

What an all-star lineup on names!!

2500! They would have to open up the top section for that the bottom section only holds 2500.07-coffee3

Clicker alert: Akron @ Toledo on CBSSN.

Akron has a 6' 10" 300 lbs center who will be a handful for Mr. Thompson.

Nope i have the plans and 5 years ago they redid the seating for the student area and removed 100. 07-coffee3 6 full sections around 220 each before renovation student section 400 total less with what the band uses. The corner are less than 150. North end around 400. Add it up. Also there is one part that they don't pull out because they it for in and out to the garage about 150 seats.

Now up to 8.5 to 9 point favorite.

Vegas is on our bandwagon.

After watching UT beat Akron last night, the best team in the MAC is... ??????
(Akron is now 2 - 2 in conference).

With that high of a point spread, they must not know the MAC very well. Parity filled league as you point with the Akron loss. Regardless, I see this game as an EMU win.

Who is the best in the league? NIU of course. Haven't you read on of the NIU fan posts on this board?!?!?!03-lmfao03-lmfao

Seriously though, is NIU the best?

Over 20 people in my group. And I just realized the women play afterwards.

Might be a good day to peel the tarp off a few sections.
