Actually EMU is promoting the hell out of it. It is a Saturday afternoon game and that should help attendance.
Fac/Staff can attend with some free tickets as part of 'appreciation day.'
I believe Heather has, again this year, encouraged our student athletes to come out and support other student athletes. (we saw a lot of them Tuesday night).
I believe 2,500 is too high but a crowd of say 1,500 - 1,750 could be possible.
I'm waiting for JT4 to become a 'cult hero' on campus and for folks to come out to watch him, if not for the team.
EMU really needs to promote JT4. He is a marquee player in the making...
That said, the crowd to watch this year is Feb 20 vs. Toledo. It could be the best conference attendance mark in many years. Toledo will bring a LOT of fans, again, this year. Having the Boothe/JT4 matchup, that will bring if no one else, the NBA scouts.
That would be a good game for someone willing to buy $3 GA group tickets to get with EMU athletic marketing and donate them so they can be given to a school, boys club, etc.
JAN 23 should be a good crowd also with BSU (men) and Toledo WOMEN. Toledo supports their women very well. They travel. Their men play the 'mighty Huskies' Friday nite in DeKalb so that won't interfere with their fans driving north from NW Ohio.
