They weren't going to the NCAA's anyway. The lost scholarships are the biggest 'sanction'

I don't see anything wrong using whores, they have to pass the eye test first though.

Statement from Frank Haith's lawyer: "Coach Haith cooperated fully with the NCAA enforcement staff's investigation and we have been informed by the enforcement staff that Coach Haith will not be charged with any violations and, therefore, has been cleared of any wrongdoing. It has been Coach Haith's position throughout this investigation that he acted appropriately at all times and that he monitored his program and promoted an atmosphere of compliance. The fact that the enforcement staff has not charged Coach Haith with any violations validates our position.

Coach Haith wishes the best to the University of Missouri, its men's basketball program and his former student-athletes in getting through this difficult time."

The rules may sound stupid, but they're in place to prevent schools from going down slippery slopes in their recruiting activities. It keeps the playing field more or less even. I'd understand if people wanted to increase the benefits players received across the board... but there's no push for it because it doesn't benefit the schools.

That's not good enough imo. It was FH's program at Missouri and he was the responsible employee in charge of it. He needs to forfeit his job now at TU and maybe the AD that hired him to coach here. We don't run a dirty program at TU!!!! He needs to go. IMHO

I would agree. I don't want a Donnie Tyndall type at my school.

Do you think the Golden Hurricane coaches and boosters live 100% within the letter of the rules in recruiting football and basketball? I'm no challenging you oersonally or passing judgement, and I have liked and do like Tulsa a lot; I'm just gauging folks' understanding of their university practices.

RE: Major NCAA violations found in #Mizzou basketball
One has to remember is that Frank Haith bolted Miami right when the NCAA started their investigation into their football and basketball programs...and Haith was hit with a 5 game suspension (served at Mizzou) for failing to monitor his assistant coaches activities...even though Haith was very involved with Nelvin Shaprio's dealings.

Believe someone else noted that Haith unexpectedly bolted from Mizzou to Tulsa, just 4 days after the NCAA sent Mizzou their letter of inquiry for a then new investigation into Mizzou Basketball.

Now Mizzou, just like Miami, is left to pick up the pieces of Haith's program:

Any ‘faith in Haith’ was misplaced, Missouri basketball fans discover

Frank Haith must be held responsible for violations under his watch

RE: Major NCAA violations found in #Mizzou basketball
Any time you have the word "infractions" on a coaches wiki page, he should look for other work. Should we be paying a coach almost $2 million per year to go to the NIT and possibly end on probabtion?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Haith

So now we have a coach who has been at Miami and Missouri before us and both programs have been "investigated". He needs to go along with whoever was responsible for the hire imo. Smoke-Fire.
