O/T: MSU's Deyonta Davis Possible NBA Lottery Pick
http://www.freep.com/story/sports/colleg.../78717440/

Kind of fascinating as I saw him play (in person) one game (vs. River Rouge) in high school and saw him play us and others this year as a RESERVE player.

What is fascinating about him is not his stats (if he wanted to star as a frosh and have JT4-like stats, he should have gone MAC. 04-jawdrop).

All of that said, he has the size, body, ability, etc. etc. just needs the maturation one gets by playing... It would be nice to see him stay say two years...

Assuming he is a 1st rounder this year (if he comes out), I wonder what that says about JT4?

Would JT4 be a 1st rounder in 2017?

I was going to say...if that is the case for Davis, that bodes well for Thompson.

Not even Grant Long was a first rounder. I don't know about Gervin. Thompson could be EMU's first first rounder ever? Gervin started in the ABA so I don't think he was even drafted by the NBA. Marcus Kennedy was a second rounder.

I'm drilling back in my memory but the big difference between Marcus Kennedy and JT4 is about four inches of height.

Apparently Marcus was much shorter than his listed height and he wasn't even 6' 6".

6' 6" centers aren't spotted on NBA rosters in the last 50 years...

Chuck Hayes was 6'6 and played center for a few teams.
Ben Wallace is rumored to be shorter than 6'8.
But overall, yes... Unless you're Draymond Greene you're not that short and getting minutes at Center in the NBA.
