The Howl Yeahs getting a last second win over GS is pretty enjoyable, stAte is still looking at a handful of wins at best and this is a bad loss for GS.

asu committed five turnovers and ga southern couldn't beat them, that's pathetic...

Haha...that was the best game we've played this year by far. That's how bad its been.

I'm fairly confident Faulkner no longer has complete control of playcalling. Anderson and our AD had a long meeting after the UCA debacle, and Blake wore a headset Wednesday Night for the first time in 3 years here. He'll never admit it publicly, because he refuses to embarrass a coach publicly, but it makes no sense that our entire running and passing schemes would change entirely in 9 days without that happening.

Scary thing is, we could still win a bunch of league games this year. We miss App State, and outside of Troy, no one looks particularly exciting.

If Blake Anderson intends to stay gainfully employed, we need at least a handful. Boosters blame him for this more than they blame Buster. Some of the issues we have this year showed up a bunch last season and the year before, and Buster Faulkner was not coaching here then.

He got the "For Sale" signs in his yard pretty quick this season considering we're coming off of a league title.

And Buster Faulkner was demoted today. Lost all playcalling duties and his QB coach job. Will stay on to coach Tight Ends.

So, it took us only 1 year to realize that MTSU was right and correct our mistake. Awesome!

It's just too bad you couldn't pass him off to another fanbase who wouldn't believe you when you told them they made a bad hire.

And be smug about it when you told them. Don't forget that part. They knew more than you did. lol.

Give Blake credit. It only took him one season what took Stockstill five years to figure out, so there's that.

Good news is that it took us 1 year to recognize the mistake, you guys took 5 years.

He'll be out of a job next year when his contract is up most likely. Until then he's a 250k per year position coach. Oof

Funny thing is if Anderson had not been stupid enough to hire him he would still be OC at MTSU. Using previous years as a guide. We did in one year what y'all never did.

RE: Good News Regarding MT OC
Hilarious seeing the Arky State fans trying to spin their level of stupidity being okay because Middle kept him longer.

That means the Arky State program had 5 years of shittty playcalling to look at and then still came to the conclusion of: "Yo....you know who we need?......that guy"

If they'd been as smart as they play on the internet they'd never have hired him. And then kept their pieholes shut when the Middle fans tried to warn them. But that's not what went down. They hired him. Middle fans warned them. They turned it into "huh huh....we know what we're doing" in classic Arky State fashion.

Small kudos to them for coming over here crowing that they took the keys away from drunk grandpa after 5 car wrecks.

What's worse dahbeed is some like this one here still thinks they hired him away from us.

Faulkner was fired (cough I mean not resigned by MT). Maybe after the 30th time we say it perhaps it will sink in.

Good for Blake. Always like him when he was USM. Should have gotten the USM HC job when Fedora left. Would have saved a lot of destruction of the program that happened when the coach I will never mention was hired.

Are you really that dense?

Do you really think Faulkner left of his own volition and then in a totally unrelated move, the best OC we've had under our current HC just randomly decided to leave Cal in the Pac 12 to come back to MT in CUSA? What are we, the luckiest program in America(I assure you we are not)?

I can assure you as soon as Stock found out that Franklin wanted to come back, Faulkner was strongly encouraged to seek employment elsewhere.

From the background I got it happened in somewhat opposite fashion. Faulkner wasn't returning regardless and when Tony found out it was open and he had a chance to work with Brent he wanted to come back.

All I've heard is there was definitely contact between Stock and Franklin before Faulkner moved on.
