A Gus Malzahn disciple. Well respected. Good recruiter. Brief résumé. I guess we will see what he can do with his own players.

He may not have long enough to see what he can do. Doeren is going to have to start beating decent teams at some point.

I was wondering if this was the direction Doeren was headed. It makes a lot if sense why he relieved Canada, then. He wanted to switch to the HUNH.

It's a pivotal year for Doeren. In three years he still hasn't beaten a P5 team that finished the season with a winning record. he's 6-18 in the ACC and the schedule gets tougher starting next year.

HUNH = Hurry-Up, No Huddle.

Sorry about the acronym. Gus Malzahn and his coaching tree call their offense HUNH - hurry up, no huddle.

I'm glad to see this because I think it explains why Canada was let go the way he was. A lot of it may have had to do with a philosophical difference.

I was poking around on the UM site last week and they had an interview with Mark Richt who was saying that the SEC refs would not allow SEC schools to go HUNH. Something like they had to hold the ball for 12 or 15 seconds... something like that.

Some speculation about whether he would go that way at UM. Which I think he gets first dibs on the name, which would be "fast break", a la FSU days.

So UNC is HUNH, NCState, and maybe UM. Who else would be HUNH?

SU goes to Air Raid?

Don't they call that the Saban rule?

Welcome to the board Wrigley2. But I would think that Syracuse is also HUNH. Its based off of the Art Briles offense at Baylor with a couple of twists. It runs a balanced offense of throwing and rushing.

I suspect as soon as an offense gets its own acronym, defensive coordinators have already figured out how to stop it.
