I haven't watched more than a few downs of any football game since UAB stopped playing. I watched none of the game last night and went to bed early. I had no idea who won until I woke up this morning.

Many wives, kids and dogs of Alabama rest happy today. They don't get hit or kicked thanks to the outcome. This is good.

nobody said it was a big deal. nobody said you shouldn't watch it. nobody said you shouldn't talk about it. the only person that argued it shouldn't be talked about here also also admitted that "it's a two way streak" (whatever that means).

no. i didn't watch it. yes, i assume the majority of blazertalkers did. but up until Gorillas post, nobody made a big deal out of people that did watch. some were just stating that we didn't watch.

whats the big deal that some of us didn't watch? thats okay too.

With that said it's a two way streak. The title says "If you aren't watching Bama-Clemson" so you know what it's about so don't click on it and you don't have to read about it.

No one said you had to watch the game. But with some of the replies from posters, people here are gun shy to post anything that isn't directly UAB related. Heaven forbid the UAB fan be a fan of the sport as too (blue font). I figured this was a forum where UAB fans and "friends" could have discussions about UAB AND other things.

I believe that the original poster's intent was to bring attention to the UAB commercial that was played during the National Championship game. It just so happens that UAT was playing in the game.

Agreed. Right after the game, I heard celebratory gunshots and thought to myself, it could have been worse. I could have heard gunshots and UAT lost and some poor innocent wife, dog, or child would be no more.

This thread didn't get defensive until post 10. I don't see anything in the first 9 posts telling people not to post such things

I've heard worse ideas.

I've seen the commercials for literally every bowl game I've watched.

I took a hiatus on college football after the teams were cut, but, after seeing that they'd be coming back, I definitely indulged in watching a lot of games. I would have watched every bowl game if I had the time. The championship game was pretty good, too. A lot of drama and lead changes.

I'm indifferent towards both Auburn and Alabama in general. I just have issues with the fan bases is all. Won't stop me from watching and enjoying a game, though.

Since many of the bowls were E$PN, in a way, yes they were but normally around halftime was when they'd show. I'd imagine we'll see little of them on tv now since season is over but there might be the odd UAB TV game where they'll show & again probably around halftime

Correct. And I hadn't seen the ad this bowl season (I've watched mostly online) or else I wouldn't have bothered mentioning.

The commercials were only shown in the Birmingham market I believe.

I doubt seriously if you lived in Atlanta that you would have seen the commercial.
