RE: Will Coleman making us proud:
My two boys met Will at the Tulane game, and they were thrilled. He was so cordial in talking to a pair of kids who were very excited to meet him, and I'll always remember that.

Why would you try to tear down a man for his faith? What difference does it make to you what inspires someone if it doesn't affect you? I'm not particularly religious and I'm happy for Will, you should try being happy for someone else. None of us are perfect so when a man strives to better himself it should be celebrated, not scorned.

Maybe I'm wrong about your comment and it was sincere, if so then I apologize.

Will's always been one of my favorite Tigers, glad to see him making positive improvements.
Because rob is a lost despicable person who despises religion.

I go to Highpoint. Remember the day it was started. I played golf that Sunday afternoon with Chris' dad Larry who I knew very well. Larry said "my son started a church today". Best church in Memphis and not close.

Calling someone a "lost despicable person who despises religion" probably isn't the best way to show that #LoveWorks, Highpoint's motto. I hope you are kidding with Rob...

Stating the truth about rob that's all.
he posts garbage in the P/R forum so I'm not shocked to see him doing the same here

Max isn't smart enough to get the irony. Who cares if you know a guy who started a church? Judging by your posts the lessons haven't taken.

RE: Will Coleman making us proud:
Come on men

I think it's cool and fun to talk smack about sports. I am as bad as anyone on here when it comes to speaking their minds. However I can say I never talk about a player. Coaches making $2M a year are grown men.

Let's all agree that any current or past player is a Tiger forever. We should NEVER make fun or discourage a former Tiger.

Will played his heart out. He wasn't super skilled but he always gave everything he had.

We should all want the best for each one of them as people.

I don't even know how/why our board over the years even has a Religion/Political Forum.

I'm proud to say I am a Christian. The reason I know I need Christ is because at my core I am a selfish AHole who is proud and cocky.

If not for Christ I would be intolerable to anyone around me

Being a Christian basically means I know I'm an idiot. I know I'm not perfect or even close.

If anyone is struggling over this matter I would love to talk to you. I've been at the very lowest place on earth to the very top and in between.

pm me if you would like to chat about my story and what a horrible person I am. With Christ I have my Back Up for being an idiot.

Please don't let holier than thou people keep you from finding real peace.

Don't bring your fake ass values in here. Half of your posts are talking bad about people and then you get bent off a joke.

Will Coleman making us proud:
As a fellow Christian, I am very happy to see that he has found Christ. Christ is the answer and the right foundation for his family.

I remember his freshman year that he and Preston Laird stopped in our tailgate tent in the old Highland Hundred lot. Those guys had a healthy appetite, as I recall.

Very good points, thank you.

I would only qualify the "former" player. I am one who does not buy the "always a Tiger" philosophy - when applied to transferring players who slam the U on the way out the door. Or former players who decide to start slamming the school after they have gotten all they can from the U, and their days are over.
