Sure, he probably wouldn't beat out our backups though. Don't think Holtz is going with another transfer unless it was one that has proven himself at a high level such as Driskel

Don't be surprise to see Driskel drafted ahead of Doughty. Not taking anything away from Doughty but with Driskel's selection to the Senior Bowl and what he is going to display at the combine, he could be a 4th round pick.

I'd be surprised if we take a transfer. We have 3 coming back, 1 commit and another visiting this weekend.

You do know that Doughty is going to the combine as well, right!

It's really too early to know where Driskel and Doughty will be drafted.

Wow! Driskel looked very, very good in that game.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Driskel go ahead of Brandon. Kid was a top in the country recruit out of high school. Has more physical tools than Brandon. And teams get really caught up in the physical tools at the combine sometimes causing them to overlook what a person has shown what they can do.
I'm just hoping Brandon gets a shot with an organization that can give him a good shot. He has his weaknesses but I think he can make it in the league in the right set up.

I don't think Skip Holtz has ever developed a decent QB. I don't know what he done at UConn from 94-98.

All I want for Christmas is Watson in his fifth year.

Hmm....I'm not so sure about that. I can't speak to Holtzs' distant history before arriving at LA Tech, but he certainly did a hell of a job "developing" Cody Sokol in 2014 and Jeff Driskel in 2015.
You gotta remember, Sokol couldn't earn a starting job at Iowa, and Holtz made him a star, who threw for more than 3,400 yards and a bowl victory over a P5 school. Driskel was failing miserably at Florida and threw for over 4,000 yards and earned a bowl win in one season under Holtz. If anything, I'd say Holtz has a recent history of breathing new life into previously unsuccessful college QB's.

Is he Skip the QB coach? His first QB recruit at Tech will be a RS SO this season.

Pinckney was good enough to win two championships.

I thought about Pinkney but he was already at ECU 2 years before Holtz arrived. Legg was Cato's QB coach his JR and SR years, but I would say almost everyone would credit Tony Petersen as the QB coach that developed Cato. As OC, I don't know Petersen's role at LA Tech, what I do know is he is the best QB Coach anywhere, college or pro.

May have been. Seemed like he was there for a decade.

You do know that Doughty is going to the combine as well, right!
it doesn't matter (the dick measuring contest)
I watch Doughty, I see Joe Montana....
also see Tom Brady....
I love Doughty.....he 'drops it on their hands'
I'd be chompin' at the bit to get that guy.....it's just a matter of GM gambling where he goes.....
he's blue chip.....the nation just doesn't know it yet....

Can't agree more stink. Doughty's what most NFL teams want, even if his measurables don't add up. I'd take him in the first/second round and enjoy the crow that other GM's would have to eat personally.
