RE: Bama vs. Clemson
I like Clemson to win....I think they have the right offense to actually sustain drives.

The one thing we haven't seen from Alabama is how they respond if they're down...what happens if Clemson gets on top of them? I don't think this Alabama offense is as great as people think...they were actually better last year.

Alabama lives off of squeezing teams to death with a stifling defense. I just think this Clemson offense will be the most versatile offense they have seen since last year with Ohio State, and we know how that turned out.

Sustain drives, win the # of plays, and don't give up big plays....Clemson wins 27-17

I'm only the 2nd response.

Seems like a lot of people have a meh response to this game.

Perhaps Alabama has been here too many times lately.

I have no idea who is going to win. I think it will be a good game, and whoever gets key turnovers is going to win.
Similar to the prediction I made that if Houston continued generating turnovers they would beat FSU. I think many people here just did not watch Houston much this year.

Personally I think in general we are just dragging out sports so long people lose interest. I know I have.

It hasn't been I guess, but it seems like a long time since the bowl season finished.

And now we are deep into college basketball and pro football playoffs.

I'm actually not that interested right now. I'm sure I'll watch, but the delay from bowl week has me mentally moving on from college football.

Its been a long delay. And when NYD is on a T,W or TH, the delay will be even longer.

2019/2020 will be the longest layoff, 2 weeks between the December 31 semis and the January 13 final. That's a mistake. But as Hancock said last week when explaining away the poor TV ratings this year, the CFP did all of this because the "major bowls" complained that their ticket sales suffered when BCS bowls were played on January 2, 3, or 4. The conference commissioners and the bowl guys insist on December 31 because they are choosing bowl game ticket sales over a larger TV audience.
