Well we Cincinnati sports fans finally got a break to go our way, they missed at the end. THIS is the game when we get our breaks? Freaking nooner at USF BB? How sad is it for our city and questionable for this program I think.

The trouble is that there are more obvious explanations for the FB team's performance.

Hell, I could easily see the FB out partying in Ybor City the night before/early morning of the game because it's a great vacation opportunity... I mean we only get to go to Tampa every other season.

I agree regarding leadership. How badly do we miss a Justin Jackson type this year? The closest we have is Troy Caupain, and he tends to disappear in crunch time. Shaq Thomas is too inconsistent, Ellis can't channel his emotion into positive energy. Gary Clark is blue collar but quiet. In the future? Jacob Evans? Kyle Washington? We shall see. I think the future is bright, but so is today and someone needs to step up.

This team has the talent - they just need to find the catalyst. Not a good sign that we haven't found that at the halfway point yet, but there's still time though only just a little.

We didn't make shots. Missed some easy ones inside. This was a beautiful Bearcat win. Played hard nose defense, got deflections. Shaq was really good and did a good job flashing to the rim. Shot free throws well until those two front ends. Our league is a lot better this year. This South Florida team is a year away, very big basketball team, their size gave us some trouble inside. The came back on us because of a lot of point blank misses.

Yes...Yes...Stopped reading.

The leadership vacuum is apparent. I've come to believe there is a serious talent issue as well. Ten minutes without a field goal against a three win team? Unbelievable.

I detest OSU, and Indiana for that matter. For comparison, flip over to that game and look at the talent on the floor and the basketball smarts on display. Both those teams struggled earlier this season. Both will have more quality wins than UC when it's all said and done. And both will be in the NCAA. I think it's less than 50/50 at this point that the Bearcats dance given the deficiencies of this team.

If we all thought this was a rebuilding year I guess we wouldn't be quite as disappointed.

Defense has been great for since the Temple loss. Closing games has been an issue all year. Mick needs to use his timeouts more effectively and not mess around with substitution when things are going well. I expect a far superior offensive effort against Houston.

I remember the Satterfield Logan team having trouble closing but figuring it out at the end of the year. Hopefully this team does the same; the talent is there.

UC needs more size. Need two more 6'10". Guards are slow and show little quickness to the rim. Teams with quick guards are giving UC lots of problems.
