Austin leaving is just another convenient excuse
1. Attendance didn't look this bad
2. TSF and season tix deadlines don't effect if new people want to buy tix, only if existing tix holders want to renew. If the AN announcement occurred after deadlines, tix holders can still decide simply not to show up to games, even if they have tix. Hence the disparities in paid attendance and actual attendance. This could be seen as a way to protest without hurting the school as much financially.

AN wasn't the highest ranked recruit to leave.
Adonis Thomas left early (way before he should have) and he was #17 prospect in 2011 rivals rankings
Jelan Kendrick was kicked off the team and he was a #15 prospect in 2010.
AN was the #17 national prospect in 2013 according to Rivals.
Only Markell Crawford remains on the team from that 6 member , highly touted 2013 class. Yet it seems AN's leaving has caused the most calls for Pastner's job.

Some sites had Iverson ranked higher than Nichols, but the fact that he's white and left has very little of anything at all with people not coming to games. If we were coming off a sweet 16 and he still had left the attendance would be fine. It was fine when we were winning and the entire team was black. In fact I know one "booster" who hasn't renewed since DJ graduated. Your point has no merit. The reason attendance is dwindling is because the team gets worse every year.

I was going to answer with a bullet pointed thing, but the response above is faster and more to the point.
Racism remains a massive issue in our society, but:
1. Attendance is down for:
- poor home schedule interest wise
- low expectations
- coming off a down year
2. Pastner is still here for some part of both:
- Firing him would be expensive
- One non-NCAA year and the axe might be hasty.
Neither scenario is race based IMO.
Again, racism exists and is legit, but I don't think it factors into the Tigers BB season this year.

The only color on why Josh is still our coach is not black or white but GREEN

I'd guess that part is cash, part is firing a guy after one non-NCAA year might be rash.
The proportion of the above is at your discretion, but year, we're on the same page.

It should have. His whole existence cost us a chance at Stokes. Of all the guys that left he seems the most loved. That is I never see a "WHO" attached to his name.

Three guys grad transferred - Barham, Black and Barton and only one seems to be consistently shtt on.

Drew walked on with us IIRC, (before he earned a scholly), eschewing a scholarship to SIU, when we really needed bodies. I think that has something to do with our perception of him.
I remember hearing how lethal he was from 3 point range-in practice-but it never seemed to translate to the game situation. At least not for us. He may have been better for gonzaga.

That doesn't make up for the fact that he redshirted a year here knowing he was going to transfer. Not sure if that's his fault of Pastner's, but that entire episode was bizarre.

True. Almost as bizarre as the fact that he started one game for us.
