RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech officials announced Thursday that a 2018 non-conference football game at LSU has been scheduled.
The meeting, set for Oct. 20, 2018 at Tiger Stadium (a.k.a. Death Valley, capacity: 102,321) in Baton Rouge, will mark the 20th meeting between the two in-state schools. The last meeting occurred in 2009 with LSU rallying for a 24-16 win over Louisiana Tech after the Bulldogs held a 13-10 lead at halftime.
Louisiana Tech remains the only public school in Louisiana to have defeated LSU in football.

I wonder how much the pay day will be. Several years back when LSU agreed to begin a rotation with the state schools they agreed to a $400,000 payday which was , in their opinion, a financial helping hand. Things have changed now an you can bet it will be more than the original figures. McNeese State was the state team on last years Tiger schedule but the game wasnt played due to weather yet LSU paid the agreed amount but I dont remember seeing the figure disclosed.

RE: Tech Announces 2018 Non-Conference Game at LSU
Hell yeah! I'm always a Tech fan ooc, but scheduling in-state against the suck of the sec is always mouth watering on the border of hannibal.....
well done.....we play 'em mid season next year with what should be one of southern miss' most heavily loaded teams in history....and we beat the the last time as our former head coach, Curley Hallman, coached his last game in death valley.....
the ironies and satisfaction of that day.....oh yeah, I went with my entire family and future bil.....who just so happened to be an lsu grad....
the irony runs deeper than I write about....just know I have a wicked sadistic laugh working right now....
