So all you need is wiping, eh?

It’s going to be hard because both of you have your heads up your rear end. Better pull it out so you can see what’s really going on at FEF.

I was there when the university let football rot and I see the same thing happening to basketball. I was one of the last few at the Liberty Bowl and I’m not going through that with basketball.

They don’t care and obviously you two don’t give a damn either.

So be it.

Exactly. The national columnist with a TV analyst job is irrelevant in the sports world.

RE: The Gary Parrish show
The priority is football now. It has to be to get into a P5 conference. If we don't, NONE of our sports will be relevant. Basketball is not being left to rot. It is simply not a priority right now. Basketball can recover very quickly. It only takes one good coaching hire and one good recruiting class and you're right back in the top 25.

Football...not so much. It takes years.

This is the right thing to do for the future of the university. I wish folks would get that.

And what exactly is local sports radio supposed to say about Tiger basketball right now? There is literally nothing to talk about.

My guess is that he has probably made an effort to ensure he remains a viable television personality. He does a good job on TV (and he's an excellent columnist / reporter) so I don't begrudge him doing what he needs to do to make a living. But yes, it's weird and uncomfortable to listen to him try to sound like a guy from Brooklyn.

The other day I nearly drove off the road when he pronounced the team from Golden State as the "Woy-yahs" (Warriors).

Of course, all of this is brought to you by the fine folks at Coopah Systems.

This program hasn’t been able to win a big game against a good or ranked team in a long time and if the ambassadors & administration can’t see this, then it’s their bad.

If they now know to be successful changes have to be made but can’t/won’t do it, then it’s their bad too. They should have thought about the possibility of this occurring when they offered the contract+extensions.

Whatever, I’m tired of beating a dead horse. If some of you are OK with the outlook of things then who am I to argue. Time to get off this train and work on my to do list.

I remember when basketball was deemed the priority and football was left to rot. Other than a few decent seasons it stayed this way for decades. So who’s to say this won’t happen to basketball?

What if it takes 5-10-15 years to get into a P5 conference? Will basketball survive this long? There are many notable programs that fell and never regained their former status. Stay down long enough and it will be impossible to quickly hire a good coach because better programs will have more appeal.

If the decision makers are the same who agreed to our coach’s current contract then sorry, I will have to question their judgment.

who said changes won't be made? Just because they won't do it in January doesn't mean things aren't happening.

I'm one of the few who don't think they will do it. The time was last (spring or before) and I don't think it would be too smart to do it after this season is over. Not saying they won't but if they rode it out this long IMHO may as well finish it.

Who is to say that when a change is made it won't be worse? NC State and Indiana cases in point.

My best friend met a coach who had known Cal since college and this person predicted what happened at Memphis. Whether he will get prosecuted at Kentucky is another matter. Change because some people are impatient isn't very smart. People see and hear what they want to.

RE: The Gary Parrish show
Gary is pretty entertaining, I listen to him most days. He claims his show isn't a sports show, which I'm fine with, even though I think he's at his best when he's telling sports stories. However, the days when he shows his love affair of all things Kardashian and Kanye are days that I turn the station. I even remember him posting his ice bucket challenge video and calling out the Kardashians. I'm pretty sure he would much rather be working for E News or TMZ if he could.

Gary moves at a face pace. You may not like everything he mentions, but the beat is so quick there's not that much time to react.

I heard his kid is now beating him in board games, so that's good.
