In today's college BB environment, how do you end up with 13 players without one shooter? I realize that you can win some games, and not be a good shooting team, but every other part of the game had better be strong. Coach really has his work cut out for himself.

If you really want to see a team with 13 bad outside shooters watch the women play a game or two.

Rebounding and post play was supposed to be our strength and tonight it was nonexistent. You can't be a weak outside shooting team and not control the interior and expect to win games. We're very poor at defending the three. Jimmy Hall needs to pass the ball, period. We know he can dish pretty well he needs to be more willing to do it. Tonight he tried to go through double and triple teams repeatedly and looked terrible doing it.

We need to work at setting up plays to get Walker looks at threes. He might be the only shooter on the team. Need to use him.

I strongly dislike Buffalo, but to their credit they won with class tonight. They did their share of arguing but I thought we were getting the friendly whistle a lot tonight. When it was clear they won and we lost our cool they didn't celebrate or taunt us and it looked like they all kept their mouths shut in the hand shake line then walked off the court without celebrating.

I must have attended a different game because I thought Buffalo showed absolutely zero class. Everyone of their players appeared to be talking trash, their guards were showboating, and their coach was all over the floor.

Very disappointing game that again highlighted our inability to shoot the ball, but the disappointment comes from more than just our inability to shoot the ball. The entire game day experience is rough, from the forced traditions (running of the K), the fight song constantly played at the absolute wrong times, the cheer and dance teams not nearly as good as they were a decade ago, the lack of fan turnout and interest...the entire game experience is no where close to what it was a decade ago or where it should be.

Yeah, there looked to be some trash talk going on but it looked like we were doing plenty of talking as well. After a basket in the first half Pollard jawed at the UB defender all the way back down the court. That kind of stuff looks really silly when you're getting whooped. Normally when a team goes on the road and gets a big win in conference you see more celebrations on the bench and going into timeouts than what they were doing last night. Overall, I thought they seemed much classier than the teams Hurley brought to the MACC the last few years.

As for a previous comment about the UB guard not shaking hands, I didn't notice it but it's possible. Looked like Hall wasn't going to either but someone (McKee maybe?) convinced him to.

As for the UB player spitting on Ortiz, if that's true that's very classless. I had no idea what happened on either of his techs. The refs reviewed that one going into halftime for awhile so, if that's true, there must not have been any video evidence of it.

So that's the defense of my comment but ultimately I agree with Fallsdog, none of this matters. If they managed to trash talk us off our game like it has been insinuated here then we should be absolutely ashamed of ourselves.

And nowhere, NOWHERE is this more true than on the court.

I'm glad you said it! I left that Buffalo game so pissed off. I almost left the Western Michigan game extremely pissed off too.

I know we have good recruits, but I hate losing and am not going to make excuses anymore. We have some big boys who miss high school shots. Unbelievable.

Tuesday we have a good chance to "reset." We should put Miami away by at least 10.
