I don't know who/what GMC is, but HOK is a huge firm out of Atlanta. They're doing the new Georgia Dome replacement. I doubt they are a Bryant Bank lackey.

No one said HOK banks at Bryant bank and fwiw they are based in St Louis. They have an Atlanta office as well as offices in several cities and countries.

Yes Hoover blazer is right. That's them. I'll just say I'm glad HOK is involved and not just GMC and leave it at that. I have personally worked with them several times.

Not the team I would have selected but I am hopeful they will do a good job. I do not think anything dirty or underhanded took place. Let's hope they guide Ingram to build what we need in the proper location and the proper size. Not just what Ingram thinks UAB needs. Ingram needs all the help he can get. I'll leave it at that.

Fumbles has been working hard on that track schematic. It's difficult to get the right mixture of sand and asphalt.

I'm more worried about the design choices than I am the actual construction end. HOK won't be the problem if there is one. I am equally worried about Ingram, because in a room full of experienced design and construction professionals he will remain convinced that he is the smartest person in the room and should make all the decisions.

Three of the final four design teams has very similar resumes and all were impressive IMHO. One was even heavy in CUSA schools and completed 7 sports projects in Alabama including the Turd football building. They were all impressive. HOK is excellent.
