What would you call switching the feed from Lake Huron to the Flint River to save money? Honestly what would you call that. Forcing poor people to ingest copper and lead in their drinking water? Honestly. What would Ayn Rand say? Mr. Creedy? John Galt? Suck it up boys and girls. You should have been born to parents that can afford to live outside Flint proper. No Lake Huron water for you. Take this nice glass of GM residue's finest!

Do you guys realize the cost of this travesty will be in health costs? Special Education? They should make all those azzholes drink that water for years as punishment. Anybody who had any business with it.

Severely Contaminated Water System in Flint Prompts Calls for Arrest of Michigan Governor, Accusations of Genocide Against Black People

Mickle discussed why MLive Media Group -- the parent company of The Flint Journal -- issued an editorial opinion requesting more transparency and a federal investigation into the water issue.

"I think the people of Flint, rightfully so, have lost trust in their government. They were told something was safe when clearly it wasn't," Mickle said.

"We need an independent party to come in here and take a look at everything and tell us what exactly transpired -- how did this happen -- and I don't think that the people of Flint have faith that they're going to get that from their state government."

On Monday, the Genesee County Board of Commissioners signed off on a request for Snyder to issue an emergency disaster declaration over Flint's water crisis. Snyder must decide whether or not to declare a man-made disaster in Flint after promising "a culture of openness and trust."

A spokesman for Snyder said in a statement that the Michigan State Police's Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division has already begun working with county emergency management officials to gather information about the resources needed for a governor's declaration.

If I remember correctly the state government took over the running of the city or county or both because they were doing such an incompetent job. Financial incompetence is really bad but trying to save money and as a result poisoning everybody is certainly worse.

What is considered safe? How many children have water-caused brain damage at this moment? Aside from being a Republican, wtf does Snyder have to do with this?

They were drinking water out of Lake Huron. Rick Snyder's appointee switched it to the Flint River to save money.

Again, they're the clowns that decided to make the switch to "save money" and then tried to give themselves raises later. Michigan is a train wreck. Has been for a long, long time.
