Probably will land around the 6 spot due to the plethora of teams that lost their conference tournaments like us.

Yep. It's not easy.

Would the committee setting up the NIT brackets consider it a good thing for that tournament to match up UAB and Bama if they get the chance? The Bama-centric system administration is probably well known beyond this region.

The NIT will be loaded with so many regular season champions losing(12 of 13 mid-majors up to now). So much so that some P5 teams that have records that would normally get them into the NIT could be left out because of the auto-bids to conference champions.

UAB, Wagner, IPFW, Wichita St, Belmont, North Florida, Monmouth, Valpo, High Point, Hofstra, Bucknell, St Mary's all #1 seeds lost. Only Chattanooga has survived...

Folks are now talking about the difficulty of finding 68 quality teams...

I bet they change the rule after this year if there aren't a lot of Power 5 teams.

Kinda like the P5-G5 football debate. They(P5) don't need us...until they do(5-7 bowl teams, top MM basketball teams not in NCAAs).
