Clemson gameplan
I posted this on another board, and thought I would share it here. It's what I think Clemson has to do to win the NC this year:

IF anyone is going to beat Alabama, it's Clemson. The key is Deshaun Watson of course. Clemson can't allow themselves to be shut down. They have to utilize a mobile QB + passing + running attack. They have to threaten points...

If they can pass the ball, that will really loosen up the D IMO. Alabama hasn't faced a QB threat all year....I thought Cook would be able to light them up....he was able to pass on them, but State had no running game.

On defense, Clemson has got to pound Coker, and prevent big plays. Alabama's offense is a possession offense....if they can't run, they throw 7 yard outs. They do what they have to to move the ball...As good as Henry is, he is often stymied in the 1st half against good defenses. Alabama doesn't start rolling down hill until their D has suffocated their opponent...

I think Alabama is the best team, but I also think they have weaknesses (secondary, slow offense) that can be exploited....unfortunately, there aren't that many good teams this year. Michigan State matched up poorly with them and got annihilated.

I have a feeling Clemson is going to win in a classic....Deshaun Watson has to limit the mistakes and keep Alabama's D off-balance, which all of the Tide's opponents have been unable to do
