wouldn't be the first time he was wrong. Each conference has a pool of refs they use, most of the good refs call games for 3 conferences. I have a friend who works for the ACC, A-10, and SEC during the year.

Aware. But that also implies that there ARE official conference affiliations for refs, which also means there are conference crews.

Each conference has an assigner that schedules the refs for games. So they are somewhat hired by that conference. They have to work more than one conference because there aren't enough games to work only one conference.

Some officials work MOST of their games within one conference-they have other jobs or are retired.

I've never seen a team not come out in time for 2nd half warmups. The Nichols St coach must have went on a tirade

That's bizarre. Maybe he had to talk them into coming back out for the rest of their whoopin.

Told not to come

Wow, is that true? In the long run, not sure if that's a good thing or bad.

greg and eli talked about it this morning on their show but did not identify the official

It was sad. The people around me starting clapping when they made a bucket it got so bad. Of course the refs didn't give them a call the entire night.

They had been on the road for a long time. They were exhausted. They were taking a nap at halftime.
