Which Coach Meyer- the one in the college football hall of fame who invented the spread offense or the one not in the college football hall of fame?

Kidding- I know the answer, but just pointing out there have been two great coach Meyers in this game- Dutch and Urban.

Vaught is criminally underrated.

Dutch Meyer is also neglected. So is Davey O'Brien, his Heisman quarterback. He only threw 4 INTs in 1938, an incredible number for the period.

Unless Saban stays around like Bill Snyder I don't see him breaking Bear Bryant's record.

Urban Myth is only 51. He could pass Bryant if he stays at Ohio St.

In the new world of the playoffs, does the National Champ. Game count as a major bowl win?

Yes, clearly, the new CFP title game, as well as the old BCS title game, have to count as major bowl wins.

But do you credit a coach with two wins in a year?

When it goes to 8, the winning coach would get three wins under this theory.

Your ranking, but that gives coaches today a large leg up - I would limit it to the Bowls, and leave the NC game out, if you are trying to compare to past years.

It is true that today's coaches do have the opportunity to play in and win 2 major bowls. But they do have to earn it so i don't see a problem.
