Well, the outstanding talent from Marquette turned out to be more of a head case than a talent.
He was let go for skipping summer school classes and maybe not being academically eligible. Speraw doesn't tolerate that at all.
Tough blow, but perhaps better we found out now.
We'll still have a very good team, but this hurts.

But wait a minute.... you told me that he didn't have an attitude problem. This is the second time he has stiffed UCF so it's not really surprising.
Then again you told me the Liberty Bowl wasn't in play and had a longterm deal with C-USA...
Bottom line: there was a reason why USF wasn't interested when he wanted to transfer back to the State of Florida.

First of all, don't blame Marquette for your problem childs. And you want to call someone a loser, you have been trashing programs like UCF and Cincinnati for weeks and now you want to act like a little b*tch when the heat is back on your joke of a program. The only bottom dweller is UCF football.
On a side note the word is "imbecile" crybaby. Funny you call someone a loser and then can't even spell the word right you're using to insult the person with!

Just what I expected.......for you to start crying like a lil girl.
Can't handle the truth, or to be told that you have no idea what you are talking about?
You were also the moron who said UCF would go bowling last year.
Eleven straight losses later and you still don't know what you are talking about.
LOL!!!

By the way, you ended a sentence with a preposition.

Let's see.........we had a kid SLACKING in school and we kicked him off.
Unlike UC and USF where a kid practically has to kill someone to merit even a SUSPENSION.
Give me a break.
Our basketball problems consist of a kid being dealt with that couldn't hack it academically.
Yours involve your coach getting drunk and hopping in a car.........yet taking on the role of a teacher and coach.
Don't even talk to me about ethics or values in a university.

I don't think S. Fla would pass on anybody with personal issues. S. Fla athletes keep Tampa's police department busy all year.

Christian's UCF career ends abrubtly
The transfer is dismissed from the basketball team for violating team rules.
By Alan Schmadtke
Sentinel Staff Writer
July 26, 2005
Carlton Christian's basketball career at UCF lasted less than a year and never got past the practice floor.
Christian, a 6-foot-4 guard from Evans High who was expected to be an integral part of impact class of three transfers as the Golden Knights moved into Conference USA, was dismissed from UCF's program on Monday, Coach Kirk Speraw said.
The move came because Christian violated team rules. Sources in the athletic department said Christian had not attended summer classes for several weeks while fighting for credits and grades to be eligible this season.
Neither Speraw nor Christian returned phone messages for comment.
Christian played 22 games as a freshman at Marquette, then transferred to his hometown school after differences with Marquette Coach Tom Crean emerged. UCF coaches considered him the Knights' most versatile guard in their program. He regularly impressed with his athleticism as he sat out the 2004-05 season to satisfy the NCAA's transfer requirements. He, Dave Noel (UNC-Asheville) and Mike O'Donnell (NC State) were expected to be central contributors this season.
Instead, O'Donnell, Noel and seven other returning Knights will begin preparations from for a European tour that begins next week. UCF returns three starters from a 24-9 team that reached the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year. UCF leaves the Atlantic Sun for C-USA this season.
