[Oregon] If the playoff field was bigger...
I don't think anyone would want to play Oregon. If they beat Michigan State and Washington State, look out, they may be playing for the title.

I'm not sure stuff like this was entirely on Oregon being that good (I mean dear lord, TCU): https://vine.co/v/ib1tI0w3Jvm

But they're definitely showing that they're not as bad as thought earlier in the year.

Heck, both TCU and Oregon would have been dangrous in an expanded playoff field and this comeback doesn't change that.

I think what Oregon needed was a bigger field, not a bigger playoff field. Might have taken TCU longer to catch up.

Hopefully Trevone Boykin didn't punch another cop in the post game celebration.

Now wouldn't that be something. "Oregon won the toss, will defer to TCU on choice of kick off and side to defend, has chosen an 80 yard field in the first half and a 120 yard field in the second."

RE: [Oregon] If the playoff field was bigger...
this game shows why the playoffs do not need to get bigger and if they do get bigger it should be 8 teams MAX

there are some fools that want to compare football to basketball and the NCAAs and "the little guy" but in football there is a much higher chance for injury

no one wants to see a game where an Oregon (or any top team's QB) runs head first into a defender and goes out for the game and then either "the little guy wins" and goes on and gets throttled the next game or the team with the QB out still wins, but gets throttled the next game because the QB is out

injuries happen in basketball, but they are more rare and it is much less likely "the little guy" that "won dat conference doh" with a 7-6 record will "step up" and pull off even a first round win and there is a higher chance of a season changing injury especially with "the little guy" trying to show "they belong" (with their 7-6 record)

prove it in the regular season and you will get your chance

UH lost to UConn.....NEXT

at least tOSU lost to a decent team and there are plenty of others that should be in before UH

you don't lose to UConn late in the season at full strength and talk about "should have been in the playoffs

They had to play their back-up QB in that UConn game. Not so much full strength there.

Well Ohio State lost to Michigan State and we saw what happened to them....bottomline, win your conference.

With the playoff, we get championship football, so champions first. Win your conference, no excuses

The playoffs shouldn't be expanded because injuries happen or underdogs win? Really?

No offense but that's one of the worst arguments I've read on this board. That's nothing personal against you but I can't buy that on any level.

It's obvious you didn't watch or pay attention to the UConn loss. Half of UH's team was injured, including Greg Ward Jr. And they still had a shot to win in the end.

RE: [Oregon] If the playoff field was bigger...
It will be hard for Oregon to get into a playoff with 3 loses.

Houston 12-1
Navy 10-2
Temple 10-3
Clemson 13-0
Florida State 10-2
UNC 10-2
Michigan State 12-1
Iowa 12-1
Ohio State 11-1
Northwestern 10-2
Oklahoma 11-1
TCU 10-2
Oklahoma State 10-2
Western Kentucky 11-2
Toledo 9-2
Bowling Green 10-3
San Diego State 10-3
Stanford 10-2
Florida 10-3
Alabama 12-1
Arkansas State 9-3
Appalachian State 10-2
Notre Dame 10-2
BYU 9-3

All would get the nod before Oregon.
