SEC: Three straight years with at least 7 Bowl wins ...
How many other conferences have done this? ZERO.
In fact, as of right now, no other conference has won 7 bowl games in ANY of the past three years!
And this during an allegedly "down" time for the SEC, after its streak of national titles.

RE: SEC: Three straight years with 7 Bowl wins ...
If I'm not mistaken, no other conference has EVER won 7 bowl games in any one postseason. With the Arkansas win the SEC is now 8-2, and of course has the chance to add the national title to that record. 6 of the 7 West teams winning by more than 20 points is absolutely amazing.
Too bad my Aggies **** the bed in the first quarter against Louisville, but at least they were able to make a game out of it and didn't get blown out.

The PAC can match the SEC with 8 bowl wins if Arizona State and Oregon win their games. But they won four bowls against G5 competition.

Very tough G5 schools at that. SEC is afraid to take on the likes of Houston, Navy, Western Kentucky, Appalachian State, Georgia Southern and Boise State in the bowl games.

Very tough? The PAC didn't play any of those G5 teams you mentioned either. They didn't face decent ones out west like Boise and San Diego State, no, the four G5 schools the PAC faced were ranked 38, 64, 68, and 89 in the Massey Composite. BYU at 38 was respectable, but the rest were Idaho Potatoes.
See, the PAC lost to Nebraska. Nebraska was awful, a 5-7 team that needed special dispensation to play a bowl game. But UNL is #55 in the Massey, better than three of the four G5 potatoes the PAC beat. That's the quality difference between P5 and G5 and that makes the PAC bowl record bogus.
Maybe that's why the PAC is 4-0 against G5 but 2-2 versus P5?
In contrast, a 6-6 SEC team played #28 Memphis and beat them like a drum.

If the SEC was really THAT good, then you guys wouldn't have to tell us every single year.

Faulty logic. It's just that rubbing it in never gets old. :)

Did they really? I thought the West went 2-5 last year. Didn't think the East had that many wins.

Man, the Aggies didn't have a QB though. I thought that guy that started did good considering.

Yes, and the final score was a rout. In the end, LSU's power up front overwhelmed them. But, I remember that the game was close for a good half or so, and came away impressed with how well-coached WKU was. I recalled thinking the same thing when LSU played WKU in 2011, when they were #1.
That's why I slumped a bit when I saw that USF had drawn them for the bowl game. Knew it was going to be a tough game to win.
