K-State Prez
Pres. Schulz met with our own Pres Rudd, and tweets that he's excited about the good things happening around our school.

Who said having a B12 tie was a bad idea? #LibertyBowl # Memphis #KSU

As it turns out, having the B12 tie is a yearly chance to showcase our school to very high ranking officials. Now we need to get TX here.

I am glad they met. Not just because of the expansion ties, but also because KSU's administration and Prez were instrumental in turning around their football program. Maybe Rudd (who is doing great so far) picked up some more new ideas.

WVU was on campus last season and ISU 2 years prior. I don't think we'll ever change Texas mind, but I would love to see some of the other TX schools that may vote along with them: Texas Tech or Baylor specifically.

The only Prez that matters is the one from Texas

Each year Texas becomes less and less important. They already have lost standing in their own conference. Another year or two like they have been having and they will just be another one of the fishes in the pond.

RE: K-State Prez
Believe it was stated elsewhere that 75% of conference (maybe it was 70%) is needed for conference expansion. I'm assuming the neh voters are:
- Texas
- Baylor
- Texas Tech
- TCU
We may only need to flip 1 of them. With all the discussion around who to take and the fact that conf revenue would stay the say, take the 4 best and move on: Mem, Cincy, Houston, and BYU. Game over!! If Any defections from B12 occur, scoop up UCF or USF.

No way. The stranglehold they have on the Big 12 runs a lot deeper than a few down seasons on the field.

Yep. Without Texas the Big 12 market value goes way down. Too many TV sets

Schools like KState, ISU, and WVU all fear their goose is cooked unless the BIGXII expands proactively. If TX and OK leave, and that's a big if, the conference is liable to be picked apart and they're left with holding the bag.

If the conference expands before that, there's a good chance it continues to exist.

Yep. I think Texas is holding the conference hostage just like Cuse and Pitt did with the Big East

Nice to have a probable advocate in the Big 12 at the actual decision making level. Good stuff. 04-rock

Whenever we can get a Big 12 official on the Memphis campus, in the stadium, and in the city, it is a positive thing. So many good things happening at beloved alma mater, we should be proud and continue to support the growth and development in any way that we are able.

Hey Guys, the AAC just won it's second BCS Bowl Game in two years ... 07-coffee3.

I know that it's slow motion, but what are the chances that the AAC (i.e., former Big East) gets it BCS Bowl Slot back ... 04-cheers?

As for Tx, they are like the song, I'm not as good as I once was but I'm as good once as I ever was.
They've lost some power but they can still muck up the works if they think anyone or anyone gets in the way of their self-serving greed? They can rally the groups against a school, but maybe not expansion if it is truly the best thing for the league.
