Says the fan of a team that gave up 55 to a bad Purdue team who is 112th in yards per drive. LOL
The Big 12 has some teams that suck on defense (Texas Tech is the clear one) but OU, WVU, Baylor, and others have played solid defense over the course of the year when adjusted for number of possessions and offenses faced. OU held the Vols to 50% of the yards per drive than their average against SEC teams. WVU shut down Maryland to a pathetic 18 per drive which only Michigan in the B1G did better. BU, OU, and WVU held ISU to lower yards per drive than Iowa did. OU and WVU held Tech as well as LSU did and nobody did as poorly as Arky did against them per-drive. (60ypd)
It's a rough bowl season with some very tough draws (only ASU can be argued isn't legitimately tough) and especially with opposing offenses.
The only mediocre yards per drive offense the league drew was Az State- #57 nationally.
Any group of 6 teams from a single league is likely going to have bad stats going against the Clemson (#27), Ole Miss (#22), UNC (#10), Oregon(#13), Arkansas (#12), and LSU (#21) offenses. It's just a rough group overall.

As far as Bowl W/L the Big 12 is at the record they were expected to be. OSU & Tech were expected to lose and lost. OU was favored but lost. Baylor was an underdog who won. Big 12 overall was predicted to go 2-5 against a very tough slate. Unlike the Big Ten we don't get bowl games against any teams like Central Michigan and only one opponent on the level of Duke or UCLA.
