Stanford and o$u are definitely two of the top-4 teams right now and would have made yesterday's playoff games much more interesting. This year is making a strong case for an 8-team playoff. With an 8-team playoff, Stanford would have been in as a conference champ and o$u as an at-large team.

I don't think so. I think it was much more of a case of Iowa and Notre dame being exposed

Iowa was a very good team this year...they just clearly didn't recover from losing the big ten championship...and Stanford is good.

I can't fault MSU for losing to Alabama, either. Alabama is absurdly good.

Iowa had a remarkably easy schedule this year with no MSU, OSU, or Mich. They had to get up for one game...the Big Ten title game.

It doesn't lessen the pain by hoping another team does worse than us.

I don't understand all the love out there for Ferentz either. For all the hype over the last ten years they have very little to show for it.

Best part about this whole thing was the Stanford band playing the farmersonly.com jingle during halftime and pissing off a bunch of Iowa fans.

So many bowl blowouts. I'll have to fire half the coaches in the FBS. I don't remember bowls much, are they all usually this bad?
