This is what happens when you play 4 (FBS teams) who are comprised of directional MAC teams, and the weakest possible PAC and ACC schools you can schedule, and then call yourself great because you whipped up (sometimes) on Purdue, Indiana, Rutgers, Minnesota, a has been Nebraska, and then fill your bowl obligations with two 5-7 teams (even though they won) and skate into the 11th games of the season with totally untested and unproven so called champions.

I'd argue that is what you get when the CFP is really just a way to manipulate who plays who for money.

The BCS, for all of its faults, rarely failed to match the two best teams in the country.
