I saw it last night as well. And it's not the first time either. It's happened a few times now. It's embarrassing. Especially with CNN broadcasting. I don't know why they can't get this sh!t right.

It wasn't the guitar - some lady put her hand in the track and there is a safety feature that prevented her hand from being crushed by pausing the guitar drop.

yeah, heard from a friend who runs it some drunk blonde mucked it all up.

Of course that ignores the fact that in no way should a person have had access to the mechanism area of the huge scaffolding structure, especially knowing the high level of drunk people that would be present.

I was watching on local TV during our stay in Memphis. Couldn't figure out what was going on, sound was off with a lot of people in the house.
