I don't agree with it, but I respect his decision. Not projected to be drafted, but from what I understand (not much), he has a family to support. Best of luck, Demarcus! You have gotten their attention, now go capitalize.
Next men up, a couple 4-star/ESPN 300 commits in Tyrie Cleveland and Courtney Lark. Perhaps this news and today's result got 4-star A&M decommit Quartney Davis' attention, as well.

What ever happened to Greenferry?
was a second round pick projected into his junior seasn, caught a huge case of the dropsies his junior season..despite the bad-ish season he decided to enter the draft, where he was projected 6-7th round, he went undrafted...
he was a prety sought after FA, went to dallas...
and this is where he made a few mistakes..he had 2 drops in the first preseason game and a report came out that dallas' head coach asked him a question about a play in a practice scrimmage, and he had no clue and was bench...he wentfrom favorite to make the team to cut in a 3 day span
he is currently just training now at home, looks like he wants to give the nfl another shot before heading to canada
I think it's a puzzling decision. He's a good college player. And UH fans will remember today's gadget TD pass for some time. But he will have to blaze his 40 time at Pro Day to have a chance to go better than the 4th or 5th round. Good luck to the young man.

A lot of times there are private reasons that we may not be aware of. Like above apparently he has a family so might as well strike while the iron is hot.

Oh, I was assuming he would be an undrafted prospect. If he's projected to go in the 4th/5th, then it's not a bad decision.

Cleveland, Lark, Allen, Bonner, Dunbar is pretty filthy. Not to mention 4-star OK. State transfer Ra'Shaad Samples. I'm still holding out hope for 4-star A&M decommit Quartney Davis, as well.

but somethng that has me kinda worried is that all of those are outside WR,
gage is the only reciever we had with somewhat similar skillset at ayers

You don't think Cleveland could step right into Ayers' spot? He played every where at Westfield. Inside, outside, KR, PR. When you're in high school and are 6'3, run a 4.3, and can just glide past defenses, it's easier to run go routes and create 15 yards of space, rather than drag and slants, though I've seen it all from him.
